Weary of OTT hype stories about the Eclipse

We were in the path of totality for the 2017 event, so now I can say that I've been there, done that and no longer feel that my life is a totally useless waste of time! :ROFLMAO:

how hard it is to back in covered park 12 feet wide when the RV is 8 feet wide

She a little tight, but it fits. RVport legs are 13' tall and the port itself is 13' wide. Trailer is 101" wide. The height of the trailer 13' 5" at the three AC units in the middle of the trailer...but the roof slopes up and away from them. There would zero issues if it weren't for the...

    f250 7.3l 3.71 rear end 10,000lb 5th wheel trip summary

That doesn't usually happen. But there are times that after you've made a climb at maybe 55/60 mph, it kind of levels off for a bit and you can get your speed back up. The key is to be aware of what's coming up ahead of you and if you see a pretty steep descent, back the speed control off...

    Spoons

Sorry to hear that Butch. And I certainly was not making fun of anyone that has that condition. My suggestion was only to get the manager's attention that maybe they actually need spoons after all.

    f250 7.3l 3.71 rear end 10,000lb 5th wheel trip summary

I don't have the 7.3 gasser, I have the 6.7 diesel and it's a Dually, and my trailer is a triple axle Momentum 20,000 lb GVWR trailer. I use the Tow/Haul mode all the time, as well as the Cruise Control while towing it. The key to using the cruise control, especially out west where the grades...

    Spoons

I'd possibly carry my own spoon also..........except......I'd try to make the biggest mess that I possibly could at the table/chairs/floor where I just ate, then stop by and tell the manager....."Sorry" for the mess at my table, I could have done much better if I'd only had a SPOON to eat with.

Grand design 5th wheel large slide makes "clicking" noise

So did a resync work for you, or is it something that you are just going to try?

Grand design 5th wheel large slide makes "clicking" noise

A couple of things about the Schwintek slide system.....and you may already know this, but just in case, here goes. 1. The gear rails that are on the side of the slide room should never be lubricated, however, they should be kept clean and free of any debris. 2. When a Schwintek slide is...

Thank you sir, I appreciate that.

Unplug shoreline prior to starting generator?

LOL....it probably would, but it wouldn't be half as entertaining as it is I suppose. I've been a Journeyman Electrician since 1980 and I know some stuff about that, but trust me, no one knows everything and I CERTAINLY include myself in that category of not knowing everything about electrical...

Unplug shoreline prior to starting generator?

They very well could be, but since I've never been to Canada, or had any desire to learn about their electrical grid, that is why I stated what I stated. I try to not post things that I don't know something about, and I'm at a zero when it comes to the Canadian electrical grid and how they do...

Unplug shoreline prior to starting generator?

Actually, if you have a 50A service coming into your RV, the two 120VAC power leads are 180° out of phase with each other while on shore power.....at least in the US it is. I have zero knowledge about electrical service in Canada.

Added batteries in the front compartment of a Grand Design 27RL?

I have zero charging from my truck to the LFP battery in my camper.....I've disconnected it in the trailer. I have enough battery capacity with 302AH that my fridge (a twin compressor 12VDC unit from JC Refrigeration) could run for approx. 40 hours before the battery needs to be...

Or switch to LiFePO batteries and get more AH for a lot less weight.

    Slide support ??

Your avatar picture shows a motorhome, but you posted in the trailers and fifth wheels section, so I'll assume that you have a trailer of some sort. Almost every trailer manufacturer I've ever seen recommends AGAINST using any kind of support under a slide room. I can't speak for motorhomes...
