Any one has good (or bad) experience with this roof tape ?

Just my 'sperience- I used ET along the roof edges and across the roof-to-end-cap seams on my WBGO Class C following all the directions re precleaning and rolling out with a hard rubber roller. I did not seal the edges of the tape. I sold it about 6 years later and it looked almost the same...

    PEX cinch clamp?

Is this a PEX cinch clamp? Can I replace it with the old fashioned one that tightens with a screwdriver? How do you remove the original one located in a very tight place? Thanks! If you happen have access to a Dremel Tool, its cutoff wheel will make short work of cutting across those clamps w/o...

Light flat toad (no, not roadkill)

Not a recommendation, Deb&Rick, lots of good setups out there .... just info related to my 'sperience since you mentioned a Kia Soul as a possible toad: I bought a new 2016 Kia Soul Base and installed the baseplate and wiring (from etrailer) back in 2015 (they said about 7hours....took me 2...

    AC and breaker trip question

Ok so the AC was recharged a couple of months ago, that's not the issue. The breaker trips at night, not in the heat of the day normally [although it did do that today]. My buddy is a licensed tech so there was no overcharging done and the ports were already there. He only replaced the little...

    Coleman Mach A/C line burst

Very "fixable" BTW. You (or a refrig tech) can simply silver solder-in a service port there at that failure point, evacuate it and recharge it. At only 5 years of age it would be a reasonable thing to do IMHO. Just my $.02. If a ser call is needed, new capacitors might be a good idea...

Toad tracks to the right.....about a foot or more

I tow a 2016 Kia Soul base 4-down behind my new-to-me 2020 Jayco 33ft Class A. Background: I sold my WBGO Class C and let the (very old/super-heavy) Demco tow bar go with it; the Kia towed straight and true behind the WBGO for almost 20,000 miles of service. The Jayco came from factory with...

    Need a schematic!

Good, expert advice (as always) from Charles. If you are pressed for time with the travel season upon us, you could always use a properly fused automotive fuse holder from your car parts house to connect from the "Batt Pos" to the load. It would look pretty “Jakey” but would be functional…..and...

    Ac start capacitor

    Hot Water Plastic Insert Broken

^^^^^^^^ Now that's a new one :^) ^^^^^^^ I guess if working in tight quarters where the soldering iron wouldn't fit, one could heat up a nail red hot with a propane torch and melt a slot or two? Thanks for sharing, Dutch.

    Ac start capacitor

I stand corrected, Savage. Your compressor start/run capacitor is the silver one and it almost surely has the start/run capacitor for the condenser fan motor in the same silver "can". I can assure you almost everyone on the forum will tell you to replace the silver one too (may have been...

    Ac start capacitor

Not real sure, Savage, but the pic you posted looks a lot like your compressor's start/run capacitor and it may have had a PTC relay included. The picture of the item you plan to buy is called a "kicker" by many in the trade. The kicker is used primarily for older units that are "hard starters"...

    Crack inside residential fridge

IF you decide to fill it, you might want to first stop drill it at ea end with perhaps a 3/32" bit. Hold back so as to limit depth to 1/8" or less. I'm thinkin' you are a "trailblazer" re this problem. Best of luck with it.......and safe travels to ya.

Unable to Find Repair/Maintenance Facility on F53 Chassis

I had my Class C in to Rush Ford Med Duty Trucks here in the Denver area a couple of times. While there, I saw lots of Class A's in for service as well. Only place I found in this area for alignments, wheel packing, etc. I see there is one in Dallas (214-678-5900) but their polices might not...

    Bal Accu slide issue

Dunno if my 'sperience is applicable or not, Steve, but here 'tis: My slide behaved the same way at times (especially after long periods of non-use) and I found that lubing the bulb seal that interfaces with the side of the rig made it go away ............. til the next time, that is. I used...

    Engine Intake Air Temps

Seems like you have covered all the bases, A Traveler. Is there a way to shoot the engine near the temp sensor with an IR gun when the temp is indicating 220 F or so? Maybe it would cool down too fast to get back there to do that ...... (or more likely you already have.) If the IR gun agrees...
