Kim, looks like my friend will have to go to the slide-out topper's manufacturer.  He called PPL and that is what they suggested.  His other awnings are A & E, but he can't find a manufacturer's name on the topper.  He did a better measurement and the length is actually "only" 24 feet 6 inches...
