Basement fan

Hi we Had a problem one cold winter when 2015 Artic Fox 811 basement heater fan would not turn off and drained batteries. Furnace was not on. We replaced thermostat bc we wanted a better one and thought it might solve the problem, but it did not. We contacted to RV technician only by phone and he suggested we take out the fuse temporarily since we weren't using the heater. So we did. Now we are looking to sell this camper this weekend and would like to see if we can resolve the problem before the buyer comes. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?Thanks!

Trace the wire from the fuse holder backward to its source. If the source is the thermostat, perhaps the new one is also faulty.
