If you do indeed go with an auxiliary trans cooler, do not bypass the original cooler in the radiator. Many trans coolers don't have enough cooling capacity to do away with the radiator cooling.
 
Sorry to go off topic, but have you found any literature or parts catalogs? Specifically wiring diagrams for the Eurocoach or JD chassis? I'm in the midst of a similar rebuild and have found nearly nothing on them.

Yep, mark is long gone. The A/T lines into/out of the bottom radiator tank are not for cooling. Radiator temperature is at least 190°F at operating temperature, that is for heating A/T fluid quicker so the A/T fluid reaches operating temperature faster.
But I agree, don't bypass that heating line.
