This stuff is out in the desert here, not far from the visitor center. Some of it is radio stuff, so I decided to post it here. All four photos are from stuff inside the same small fenced in area.

But what is it used for? What is this stuff?wtf2.JPGwtf3.JPGwtf4.JPG

That would be my guess, some of it appears to be weather station stuff, some radio links, might be a pipeline monitoring station, as many of those also have weather instruments.

I think you got lost and wondered in the back side of Area 51 and its communications area for the homesteaders back to their mother country..

If you want to find out for sure unplug it, and see who shows up. :p

What does google maps show? Often buildings and other landmarks/facilities will be identified.

It's the small thingy at (pure decimal degrees) 31.949670 -112.801257. It's difficult to see the small round thingy on any map. No labels on any I checked, including Google.

I've seen a couple of those. remote atmospheric monitoring systems.
The one item is a bug trap for monitoring migrating insects.
There are similar stations on remote islands around the Gulf of Mexico.
