Our wedding anniversary is Feb 8th, and every year I'd have a couple dozen red roses sent to Chris' office. The florists double the prices of flowers that week 
One year I joined a Barbershop chorus, and learned what they do for the week prior to Valentine's day.
Chris was interrupted in a meeting (at work) with a message saying "there are four guys in the lobby asking for you". When she got to the lobby, she found four guys in tuxes; They presented her with a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a red rose, saying "these are from Tom". Then they proceeded to sing love songs in 4-part harmony.
Coincidentally, there was a photographer in the lobby; He was there to take photos for a local newsletter. He just clicked ... clicked .... clicked, and got the story later. He wrote a great article for the business park newsletter. (Scroll to the right to see the writeup.)
