From LEDs
Do you know if the switches are on the ground side or the hot side of each circuit and LED that is selected?

It's probably switches on from the ground side and you probably have current leakage from the PC board to ground somewhere. If you can lift the PC board up, unscrew it or whatever, check to see if you still have the problem. Remove the power first, of course. Then power it back up when everything is in a safe position.

It could have something to do with the way it was reassembled leaving a high resistance short from the PC board to ground. So make sure it all looks clean and dry also.

If it's not a lot of trouble, just try removing everything again (DC power off!) and then putting it all back together again and power up and see what happens. When it is apart, make sure it is all dry and clean. You're looking for a high resistance short, to ground, most likely.

Didn't have much time to work on RV as it was honey do day .I should be able have the whole tomorrow. I did check wiring on switches they check ok. also removed board & reinstalled no joy there but happy that I am getting lights on board.

Don I can never Thank you enough for all the help you gave me . I am a shame to admit it but I am to shaky to use a meter on the monitor board . So I have to depend on a friend to do that for me. but he can only help me on weekends . but I wanted you to know how much I valued the time you toke to help me . Thanks Again Tony

My pleasure. I enjoy trying to figure these things out.

Be sure to post here what you find was causing the problem with the LEDs staying half lit. I could be useful to the next person who has the same problem.

I'm betting he zapped the zener diode back in post 12 and 13 when he was testing it with a 9v battery. There's a slight voltage leak somewhere keeping those LEDs glowing.

Yeah, I think I mentioned back a few posts to test if the voltage is high across that Zener.

Let me check . . . In message 15, I mentioned to check the voltage there.

But I don't know if a 9V battery has enough current capacity to blow a 5.3V Zener, (one watt) in the four volts left over, but it's a good idea to check.

No they were ghost lite on bottom level only till I put water in tank to 3/4 level . Then the ghost be came bright on all lower lower levels of my monitor board. replace all sensors and ever thing is working as should be.

no I was not very clear .I was trying to say the lights were din until I filled the black water tank 3/4 full of water . then the lights glowed bright that's when I ordered new sensors .After I installed the new sensor every was then working normal.
