I really like the alerts feature - the little bell that informs that someone reacted to a post.

However, if I click on one unread alert - as noted by a black dot vs. clear dot, all the alerts are marked as "read" and they all turn clear. I am pretty sure it would be better if an alert changed to "read" status only when that particular alert was clicked on.

Any chance this can be looked into?

Haven't noticed that behavior. I need to pay attention next time I receive an alert. Meanwhile, I'll check if there are any reports of this at the software developer's site.

Yeah, as soon as you click the Alerts icon, it indicates you have read your Alerts. Not the target threads, just the list of alerts. That avoids having to click each individual alert to change the status, which could get annoying.

That's pretty much what I read on the Xenforo support forum.

Read this then went back to alerts, you can see what my screen looks like. Haven't left forum, just hit the bell icon again and that is what I see.

I think a lot of web stuff seems to be more mobile friendly than desktop these days.

Confirmed this behavior on my tablet.

Interesting that on my Windows PC & Firefox browser, the dots only show when I hover the cursor over the entry. They seem to get flagged as "read" (clear dot) as soon as the Alerts panel is viewed. Ditto on my Chromebook and Chrome browser.

That's exactly what mine does. I didn't know other folks did not have to hover to see the dots.

Although my black dots don't clear until I click on at least one alert. Once I click on one alert they are all cleared.

I'm on a new Dell Inspiron, Win 10 & Chrome...
