Sorry, should have been under general topic.

Judy Garland had issues but her voice was absolutely amazing. No fancy graphics, no sex, just pure talent. That is truly iconic. Probably why I'm such a dog lover to this day. LOL

Those were the days.  Entertainers were entertainers, not just pretty faces surrounded by CGI whiz-bang artificial magic.
Some of my best remembered movies from my youth were ones with incredibly talented dancers, musicians, etc. who also acted.  Think Fred Astaire dancing AND drumming in scenes like this:

I have some favorite drummers from my teen and twenty-something days, but even John Bonham and Mick Fleetwood couldn't do that, though Mick did a lot of GREAT and unique stuff in concert.

My daughter played in the school orchestra from fourth grade to her senior year. Needless to say we attended a lot of concerts. I actually get a little emotional when I watch this video.

I have been searching for a true stereo version of this song and I still haven't found it. It was recorded on a three track and could have been remixed for stereo but it is apparently lost. Other songs from the original score are available in true stereo and older songs, like Zing Went the Stings is also in stereo.

Seilerbird,

If you mean the Somewhere over the Rainbow clip, it was probably done on a 3-track 30in machine as that was pretty much standard in sound rooms at that time.
That probably goes for the Fred Astaire set too.  The tape was expensive and seldom stored once the final was cut and printed.

On the other hand, my audio section reports that the My Heart will go on clip is real two track stereo.  It does not report back channels, but that is normal for Youtube.
So, just record it off your computer or TV if you have the Youtube channel.

A lot of people probably think of Rod Stewart as just a pop singer but it's orchestra. The first video was our first dance at our wedding 25 years ago which explains the poor video quality. The second video is more contemporary.

Great rock video of a different era. It's 12 minutes long. The energy of the crowd starting at about 6 minutes is pretty incredible and no one is wearing a mask. LOL

The preview shows Scarface but the link takes you to the Wizard of Oz ruby slippers scene? Kind of a discongruous pairing.
