Kitchen sink won’t drain. Hey guys,I pulled the P trap and it was clean as was the pipe to the drain,it has no vent through the roof ,instead it’s under the sink, when i unscrew the cap on the vent pipe the water drains out of the sink fast. Do you think the vent cap is bad? By the way its in a 2018 Shadow Cruiser.

Yes it is bad. It’s called the AAV valve. (Air admittance valve). You may ba able to free up the gasket seal or just get another valve. You can get them at Home Depot.

Update. Last night my wife could not get the dishwater to go down again so i thought no problem i would again unscrew the vent cap and the water would go down like three other times,WRONG,the water came up the pipe so fast i barely got the cap back on before a gallon of gray water hit the floor. I am confused i thought unscrewing the Vent cap would allow air in so the sink would drain but the opposite happened. So is it possible there is a blockage down the pipe. Also we brought the camper home today when we got to our parking spot and went in the camper to open the roof vents the smell of sewage was strong inside. Can anyone relate or have answers ?

Can you take a picture of where your three valves are? I suppose it is possible to have a 4th tank just for the galley. Have you looked real close around the axles on the drivers side. My Galley tank drain is between my wheels and a little difficult to get to especially when the slide is open.

Rene,i didn’t know i had a second Graywater tank up front. I was only shown one location where Gray & Black are together. The undercarriage is sealed off and there it was almost hidden under the carriage. We have only owned it two weeks and for the first 10 days the sink worked fine then the backup. Thank you and everyone who was so kind to help out a Rookie.

So does that mean you drained the galley tank?
