My fifth wheel was pushed by wind and folded over the jacks would this cause structural damage?

It probably depends on where things gave way. If it was up inside and out of site it probably should be checked by a professional. It would be helpful to have some close-up shots.

Just a guess on my part but I think you’ll be OK. It probably didn’t slam down too awful hard because the legs were supporting it all the way down. It didn’t fall like it would have if it disconnected from the truck and fell. A insurance adjuster will have a better idea. Good luck. How old is it?

That must have been some gust to move the fiver sidewards that much and still leave the storage roof intact. Was the legs on the ground or were they on the concrete blocks we can see?

The legs were on one plastic pad so it wasn't on the concrete. The blocks were behind the legs with a screw jack for support

wow that sucks did you only have the front jacks down and not all six? i have basically the same unit but alway put all six down and mine are hydraulic

I even had it blocked in the front the wind threw it over in hurricane ida

What it looks like to me is you only had the 2 front jacks down and the wind picked up the front end and slammed it down with such force the legs broke. The legs are probably the weakest link here, but the forces involved i would really be concerned about a cracked sub frame where the bedroom is. I always have all my jacks down even in the storage lot. Which in you case may have been good or bad but hindsight is always 20-20

Call your insurance and have it inspected, that's what you payfor. They will end up "fixing" what's wrong or replacing.

Our Montana was dropped and
landed on the jacks at about 25 MPH. The bedroom cabinets and closet were smashed into toothpicks. The frame and walls had several cracks. 23K in damages. (in 2006 dollars).

I don't think that one has the 6 level up jacks on it. I think I am seeing stabilizer jacks towards the rear of it.

I am preparing a property for RV use here in Florida. In reading the codes they require that the RV be tied down when occupied. I doubt anyone does that.

There is a lot of windage on the average RV.
