ISO Lightweight Couples Camper with Rear Dinette

Looking for a lightweight (GVWR under 5000lb) rear dinette camper that will comfortably sleep 4. Planning on mainly using it for the two of us, but would like the option to have a rear dinette that will sleep another couple in relative comfort. Here are the three we've found so far. Anybody have an opinion they would like to share? Another model we should check out?

• Forest River Wolf Pup 16TS
  • Smallest of the bunch (7' wide), but worry about the size of the dinette bed
• Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser 19ERD
  • Love the bathroom door that seperates the front sleeping area
  • Like the walk-around queen
• Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser 19ERD
  • Is this the same as the Vista Cruiser but with retro decore? Are they more/less expensive?
• Keystone Bullet Crossfire 1900RD
  • Haven't seen this one yet. Seems very similar to the Vista Cruiser

Here is my take and its just my opinion, small isnt always great.
Last weekend we were camping (canadian thanksgiving) there was a couple with a jeep and an rpod. Thing was so small i dont think my 6'3"260lbs fat ass would fit in it.
No big deal it was nice out. Dont need anything big, cook outside have a fire, just a place to sleep right?
By 8pm its below freezing and its windy. 9pm the campground is quite everyone is inside and my wife and i are watching a movie on the bluray soundsurround, 55" hd tv with the fireplace on and the dog laying next to me on my heated sofa
Next morning get up and the hose is frozen solid as i forgot to unhook it and drain it. No biggie i just grab a spare one from a large storage cabinet underneath plug it in boom water go put coffee on and there is the rpod dude standing outside trying to make coffee on an outside stove.
Fast forward a few hours and its a rain snow mix rpod dude it packing and cursing and moaning its cold and wet and miserable lol. We made dinner for 9 .

Now you may not get snow in October but you will get days when its cold and wet and your stuck inside - make sure whatever unit you buy your comfortable inside for 2 or 3 days straight.
And that your tow vehicle has the payload capacity not just the tow capacity

This is the real deal breaker, IMO. Most dinette-bed convertibles in such units are meant for small children or short people, in general.

Try to see the units in person and make sure that the converted bed has the space requirements for your situation.

Also remember those are RV QUEENS - A full 6 inches shorter than a regular queen. If your tall its a no go right out of the box

Yeah, one of the nice things about the Vista/Vintage Cruisers is that the dinette bed runs the full width of the Camper, so more than 7' of space.

Lol have you ever tried sleeping on a table even with 2inches of crappy foam its not good if your over the age of 12. When we kids we did and it was fine no way i could now but if you can - more power to you

We've been tent camping for the last 35 years and started our RV hunt by looking at teardrops and popups. A small camper seems pretty luxurious to us. We may upgrade down the road, but it'll probably be a while.

As long as we've got the space, we can always throw an air mattress up there. That's what we've been camping with for years, so doesn't seem much of a hardship.
