Can anyone help out? I am on the road now... It runs but no power. Reseached a long time.
I remember that it suddenly went out of power when powering the facilities.
The following tests are done.
1. Circuit breaker was reset. no help.
2. Tested the output directly from the generator's female socket, which says 87volts AC. See attched picture
3. Uses another generator, all facilities run fine.
4. The faulty code says service required, which I am planning to do after my trip. But does this lead to power failure?

Is this the Onan/Cummins portable unit, or a hard mounted 2500/2800 or 3600/4000 microquiet models?

Assuming a built in, Is the circuit breaker you are referring to the (usually white) toggle inside the generator when you open up the cover?

Is this a built in unit that is wired to an outlet in the shore cord compartment on a motor home? where you plug in the shore cord to get power to the coach from the genny?

It runs but no power.
Is yours an onboard generator installed in the RV and the drawing is of an outlet that you plug your shore power cord into? If so the generator is designed to not run once the start switch has been released unless it is supplying power. The low voltage might be enough to keep it running but it probably is also running at a low RPM compared to normal? Onan uses a combination of RPM and voltage to control the output of their generators. It sounds to me like a control function that probably requires a trained technician unless you are willing to throw parts at it.

Yes, onboard. Yes about the plug. It does not say rpm, but the sould level is similar to normal. Maybe i got call onnan service some time.

4000 microquiet (though it is not very quiet 😂😂) on board my coach.
The circuit braker seems to be a black toggle instead of white, barely seeable on the right side of the generator afymter removing the green side cover.
It is a built in, but not directly connect to the rv power system. I need to and I did plug in the 30amp shoreline plug into the generator's female plug.

This is a very common installation on Class C motor homes, it saves the cost of a automatic transfer switch. I had this same installation in my Winnebago View motor home, it works very well. I would remove the two screws on the cover of the generator outlet and pull it out and check the connections for looseness or burning. (of course with the generator off).

Beyond that, the fault code pretty well indicates that the problem is inside the generator.
