I prefer to think that anyone who happens across this thread is in awe of the amazing word skills being documented!

I wonder how many Wordle "lurkers" we have here that do not care to admit they too are hooked. Perhaps more will chime in eventually...

I feel your pain!
Some days you just stare at your first word with no or only only one lonely yellow letter, and little improvement with that second word!

Guesses just don't come to you. Perhaps they are trying to trick me today and there IS no such word?!

Fortunately the brain thaws on subsequent days and you're back to your old self again. Maybe not masterful, but in the end, effective.
