Our new trailer has no powered vent, I have run power to the location now it is time to order. of course MaxxAir is I the running but there are some other brands out there. RVLoovent is one. Looks OK. Has good reviews. One question, one advantage of Fantastic was the lifetime warranty. Is it still out there? Or have the buying and selling of the company lost that?

any preferences? Suggestions?

Pull down the vent flange on the inside and look for wiring. 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC. Many times they will pre wire for a fan or a air conditioner and just leave the eites inside the ceiling next to the hole.
If it is pre wired for a air conditioner, you may see a 3” x 4” cover over a junction box on the ceiling.

It has an AC, pulled the bezel and only DC wiring was for switched light, I ran wiring to a DC source, put everything back until I get the fan.

Just read some reviews on RVLoVent, it said, cheap junk, spend more and get the good one. Guess that settles it.

eTrailer beat Amazon price by about $80 on the 803350 Fantastic Vent. Thermostat, powered lift, just what I was looking for.

Nevermind, MaxxAir is the one, more speeds, less cost. eTrailer is a pretty good source, shipping about 1 day longer.

FanTastic Fan now has a limited 7-yr. warranty; however, the lid still has a lifetime warranty. I called Dometic/FF customer service and spoke with a very nice polite woman named Dolly.
I had to give her the model #(on motor sticker) of each fan unit(3) that needed a new lid. Dometic/FF even paid for FedX shipping to my address.
Dolly was suprised that my original lids were 21 yrs old.
