Refrigerator not cooling

Gary would or could this be thermistor then?
The failure of the thermister nearly always causes the refrigerator to go into a constant cool mode and makes temperatures go very lot with things in the bottom of the chill box starting to freeze. The RV refrigerators are designed to do that to minimize the food loss. Unplug the thermistor and that will put it into constant cool mode and in a few hours if temperatures do not drop you will know that you have a cooling unit problem, as Gary has previously stated.

Re-reading the entire thread, you've had a variety of symptoms and changing status. And now you say that replacing the Auto Transfer Switch (if that's what you meant by "transformer") fixed both gas & electric mode cooling. That makes no sense at all, but who am I to argue with success?

If everything is working, you can adjust the thermister position to see if there is a temperature change. It could be running in full-on mode (see Kirk's reply) if the controller thinks the thermister has failed.
