Just heard on the news that a temporary channel has been cleared so ships can come and go
Are you sure Rene, what I understood was a temporary “shipping” channel with an 11’ controlling depth which would only accomodate barge and tug traffic.

You may be right. I may have misunderstood. Thanks.
But it’s a start.

The Captain of the Port (COPT) established the temporary alternate channel near Sollers Point for commercially-essential vessels. The temporary channel is on the northeast side of the main ship channel in the vicinity of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. This action is part of a phased approach to opening the main federal channel.

This new temporary channel is marked with government-lighted aids to navigation. It will be limited for transit at the discretion of the COTP and during daylight hours only. This temporary channel has a controlling depth of 11 feet, a 264-foot horizontal clearance, and vertical clearance of 95 feet.

They said there were 13 knot winds that night contributing to the ship drifting.
—— the National Weather Service showed there was only 4 knot winds that night.

• They said it could have been the currents that pushed the boat.
—— reporters checked the current charts and compared to the Fort McHenry Channel, and says it couldn’t have had any effect.

• Under Federal Maritime Guidelines, every freighter/cargo ship is required to have two power redundant systems that operate independently of each other.
—— This Failed!

• Under Federal Maritime Guidelines, the redundant system in the event of a power loss, is supposed to provide power within 45 seconds.
—— This Failed!

• Under Federal Maritime Guidelines, every one of these big ships are required to have a Secondary Independent Steering System.
—— This Failed!

• They cannot explain why the pilot would drop his port anchor and somehow turned the ship, calling for a right-full rudder.

• The VDR Sensor Data is “missing” 2 minutes of data.

THE LEADER OF THE NEW FEDERAL STATE OF CHINA CLAIMS THE CCP LAUNCHED A TERROR ATTACK

• The FTC declared the CCP used something called “Remote Towing Technology” (here rumble.com/v4n0uuk-the-ne…)

• “Remote Towing Technology” has the ability to take over a ship.

JOE BIDEN IMMEDIATELY CAME OUT AND OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE BRIDGE — WHY?

• There are so many companies responsible.
— The owner of the boat, from Singapore
— Maersk, who chartered the boat
— Synergy Marine, responsible for the operation of the boat

What about insurance companies?

They ask ALOT of questions and do their own thorough investigations, but not if they're not on the hook for the $.

Did you Know Some of the Damaged Containers on the Ship had Center for Disease Control Contents?

The NTSB Chair only reported corrosives, Flammables, and misc. Class 9 Hazardous material such as lithium batteries.

ABSOLUTELY no mention about CDC contents…

REMEMBER--- These containers "Were Breached" and a sheen was seen in the waterway.

Don’t you think the public should know what was in those CDC containers and what could have potentially gotten into the water?

"They" is a preferred pronoun, you know "they/them, he/him, Zed/Zim". Not to be questioned.

"They" is the collective of all the voices shoveling this horse crap at us- the NTSB, the USCG, etc. Just string together 3 or 4 letters and odds are it's an acronym for a government agency or a media outlet (also the gov).

Was Jimmy Hoffa spotted on deck?

He and Epstein were in one of those CDC containers headed to Sri Lanka.
It's at least a theory why the CDC is sending big freight shipments overseas. I'll be dang if I can come up with anything better.
I could just not wonder about it at all, I suppose, but that CDC has done some shady stuff lately re vaxes and what-not.

The MV Dali has a single engine, a MAN-B&W 9S90ME-C9.2; 41,480 kW (55,630 hp) with a single shaft fixed pitch propeller.

So why is it allowed to ply our waters? If it can't meet federal requirements, how does the USCG sign it off? Why does the port authority let it in their jurisdiction?

Because international ships are not regulated by USCG regulations while in International ports. IF they are in intracoastal waterways that may be a different issue.
After this event, there may be some reevaluation of such things, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I agree as to who should be rebuilding the bridge. It shouldn’t be the taxpayers in this case

A few days ago I heard that most of these container ships only have one engine and propeller and no redundancy due to cost. They are built on the cheap.
Cost has nothing to do with it, efficiency does.

It’s allowed in US ports because that garbage you’re spouting is internet/conspiracy theory bs, that’s why.
