Winter storage! How do you do it?

We're in Ontario as well - just outside of Ottawa where it gets so cold you think you'll die - or wish you would. We are lucky enough to have a farm next door to us and we will be storing in one of his barns, but when we had a TC we stored it outside without a tarp - never had an issue. It was...

    Need Toaster oven

We've switched from a toaster oven to an air fryer - we've even been able to ditch the BBQ (except during boondocking). It fits on our countertop, but most of the time we plug it in outside. It never ceases to amaze us how much we use it - everything from burgers, fish...even frozen pizza

    Quick Thank You

That just adds even more confusion lol. Maybe they've changed the specs. On the sidewall of mine it shows maximum load capacity of 2,200 lbs at 75 psi.

    Quick Thank You

So now I'm just more confused - the sidewall of the tire shows a max PSI of 75 - I get that part and I've seen articles that say to always inflate to the max on a trailer, unlike on a passenger vehicle (I realize I'm only now at 65 PSI). I took a look at the recommendations as set out on the tag...

    Quick Thank You

They are Load Star Karrier (Kenda I believe...) 205/75/14's. 8 ply.

    Quick Thank You

While reading over a thread here on tires, I thought to myself, "hey myself, maybe I should double check our PSI....surely the dealer checked it prior to purchase for us, but...". Anyway, our max on our tires is 75 - one tire was 42 and the other 53. We just finished a fairly extensive tour of...

    Niagara falls

    Probably four years ago now....

    Niagara falls

We went to the Canadian side falls when we had our truck camper. Navigating the traffic and the pedestrians that only seem to look up at the sky or down at their phones was difficult enough with the TC. I'd hate to try something larger. The only bonus we had was that parking was a breeze :)

    Cat in the RV

We have our litter box in our shower as well - it's a slight pain to clean everything out prior to showering, but so far it works well. Our cat (Stewie) tends to complain on bumpy roads. We leave him in a large crate with our back seats folded down so he can be close to us. We've found he does...

    Harvest Hosts

We joined Boondockers Welcome and so far, it's been well worth it. We've met some wonderful hosts. Our philosophy is to use it as a safe place to stop for the night and NOT a camping experience. One host told us they had people stay with them for a week and they brought their grandkids with...

Problems with my brand new trailer (211vdbx)

We bought new and had a fire our first trip out - turned out to be a cracked LP hose going into the HW heater.... Our bathroom door wasn't set right either - have to really come onto it.... When we tried our black tank flush the first time, we discovered it wasn't connected properly and the...

Bought our new RV - had a fire!

As a general rule, I would agree completely. We always buy used. With COVID, however, people seem to be asking crazy prices for their used models. We were able to get new for a fraction more. As an aside, they finally found our issue - it was a cracked LP hose going into the HW heater. Looks...

    Hi Folks

Welcome from a fellow newbie on this site. We've followed basically the same path that you are. We started out looking at camper vans and then bought a truck camper. We found that to be a little small, and wanted a better vehicle for day to day driving instead of the F-250, so now we just...

Bought our new RV - had a fire!

Luckily, in this case, the dealer is a one man show who sends the warranty work to an independent local RV repair shop that has a good reputation. I'm sure when all is said and done it will cost the manufacturer quite a bit. The water heater alone is almost $600 CDN. On a bright note, we were...
