He's right .. if you have a short box bed , you need a slider hitch.. go 16k or larger though...

Ck and see if a mud dabber or spider has patiually plugged the gas orfice... or the presure relief valve is dumping on it... Ck the connections to the High & Low limit switchs.... Sound like something easy to fix ..

Yes could be a loose wire or wire nut....but could be grounded windings in the compressor or blower/condenser motor.... I am a retired AC Mechanic... could be lots of things..

oh , some AC's and heaters will smell till the new paint cures....

Sounds like something may been stuck on you hot gas line from your compressor.. like shipping tape or stirafoam...... Question why haven't you taken to the dealer where you back to where you bought the AC...???? Maybe  a bad windings in the blower motor..
