You were all helpful, went back down today and my husband was able to see that it was some kind of coating on the rubber that was crazed.  The rubber actually looks good, we decided to buy it with that issue addressed.  It only has 7000 miles on it and was stored indoors 6 months out of the year...

We are going back to see it again tomorrow, will get a photo then to post.  I was not on the roof but my husband said you could scrape it and it looked like mud.  We will ask if he put something on it.

We are thinking of buying a 2003 georgie boy cruisemaster.  It is in excellent condition with very low miles and the in side is spotless.  A private owner has had  it since it was new.  The only issue is the rubber roof is crazed, is this normal?  Does the roof need to be recoated?  it has no...
