    Walleye Fishing

Deep fry?  Absolutely - beer battered!  I still ice fish on a bucket once in a while, but it's definately a whole lot funner in the fish house.  I didn't grow up fishing at all, so it's pretty cool to see my kids take a liking to it at such a young age.

    Walleye Fishing

Thought I'd drop a few pics of our "RV on ice", which is really just a 16 foot wheeled fish house.  We've stayed out ice fishing in temps as low as 25 below zero wearing tshirts, walleyes still bite.  I tried capturing pictures to show the surroundings of the fish house.  Rattle reels on the...

    Walleye Fishing

The ice fishing season is just upon us here in Minnesota.  I've got a 16'x8' wheeled ice shack that cranks down to the ice.  Forced air furnace adjusted by a 12v thermostat.  Got a TV/DVD player with stereo/CD running off an inverter, or hook up a generator.  Cook top stove.  King size bed for...

    Walleye Fishing

Been a while since I visited.  Hope this pic shows up.  A very nice stringer of a 3 person limit of walleyes from West Central Minnesota taken this fall.  Converted a turkey fryer into a fish fryer for a major feast following this outing.

    Walleye Fishing

Turns out the warm weather didn't really trigger the walleye bite as I hoped.  Managed a few around dusk with lighted slip bobbers and leeches.  Other than that they didn't bite at all. The carp were spawning in the shallows over the weekend.  Anyboy ever gone out shooting carp with a bow and...

    Walleye Fishing

Walleyes are tyically found near the bottom of lakes and rivers during the day due to their nature of being shy of the light.  They'll come feeding in the shallows during the night time.  Their eye's are very sensative to light, thus the name.  If you see a walleye in the dark you'd almost swear...

    Walleye Fishing

Newbie on this board.  Love to fish.  Been browsing the forum a bit and it looks like most of the traffic is coming from the southern half of the country.  My guess is there's not much walleye fishing going on down there. Anybody from the north country?  Myself, I'm in Minnesota.  Arguably the...

    City water connection won't work

So I pulled off my city water connection and found the check valve.  It's located immediately at the point of where you'd attach the hose for the input of the city water.  I disconnected the check valve and turned on our pump from the fresh water holding tank and water came squirting out the...

    LP GAS DETECTOR

They also make LP detectors built into CO detectors.  I purchased a combo CO/LP gas detector at a Menards this past winter for use in my ice fishing shack.  I am now using it in my camper for the summer season.  Can run off 12 volt batter or plug into standard wall outlet.

    City water connection won't work

I love fishing.  We keep our camper on a lake in west central Minnesota near Alexandria.  It's primarily a walleye lake which is what I target.  There's also largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie, northern pike, and big bull heads but most people come to this lake for the walleye.  The lake is about...

    Washer/Dryer Combo

I'd say it all depends on the amount of space you have and need.  I have a 40 foot 5th wheel that came with a stackable washer/dryer combo installed right next to a full shower/tub.  Took up the whole side of the bathroom.  The tub was nice with young kids but...not needed anymore. We decided...

    City water connection won't work

Thanks for all the suggestions. ?The camper is currently over 100 miles away at the lake so I can't check it just yet but thought I'd describe the setup. The holding tank and fresh water fill is up above the 5th wheel portion of the camper that would hook up to the towing vehicle. ?The city...

    City water connection won't work

Greetings All. Not an RV but a 40 foot 5th wheel camper.  I typically fill our fresh water holding tank and run all our water through the pump because it works.  When I hook a hose up to the city water connection I can't get any water coming through. My guess is that there is a by-pass switch...
