Smallest class A that could tow a 4Runner on a Trailer

Your weight specifications alone come to 6300 lbs so that eliminates gas models whose limit is 5000 lbs. This puts you into diesel models.  Expensive but a good older model would not be to bad.  The cost would then depend on your budget.  look around Good news is there are a lot to choose from...

    BLIZZARD 2016

Those of us that grew up in it and got used to it, can most likely handle any inclement weather the southern states can throw at us.  However what scares me the most are the locals who have lived here all of their lives and figure they can drive on snow, icy or wet roads the same ay they do on...

    BLIZZARD 2016

I remember the winter of 78.  I was in Rochester N.Y. then.  For those that don't know it, Rochester has only 3 seasons: Winter, the 4th of July and construction.  We came down in 86 and settled in east central Alabama and have never regretted it.  If we get snow I stay at home and let it melt. ...

    Front Cowl

I know it sounds stupid and paranoid.  I have never checked the cowl.  I have had it down many a time to connect or disconnect the generator batteries or to start the generator.  Never noticed anything untoward with it before.  I suppose the 4 screws could work their way loose and fall out, but...

    Front Cowl

screws on the inside.  Cowl has to come down to get to the batteries and the generator.  Cowl is always locked unless I am charging the batteries.

    Front Cowl

This just may be my rampant paranoia but.................About a month ago I went out to my rig to start up the generator. I dropped the front cowl and it sagged to one side.  Upon investigation it was determined the all 4 screws were gone from the holding bracket on the drivers side.  I never...

    Flat tow or toad?

To the original poster: Based on all of the posts in this thread, I think you have all of the major opinions from both sides of the discussion.  Each one is firmly convinced that their way is the right way to go. None of us can tell the absolute best way to go, you have to decide for yourself...

    Flat tow or toad?

Contrary to my fellow travelers opinion,  TOW DOLLY, TOW DOLLY, TOW DOLLY.  The response from other will be "I've towed over xxx thousand miles and have not had it happen", my response is, it only takes once.  I will NEVER flat towed, because I do not want to travel with the worry that the...

    TRANSMISSION SNAFU

We are in the thought process along those lines.  However I will wait until they make some determination as to what the problem is(this time).  There should be no question as to there being a bill of any kind since the repair is under a 1 year parts and labor warranty.
