It seems that you need evidence of your intention to return to the UK in order to get a visa. Can anyone help me with this please? What evidence is needed? Thanks.

Thanks UK-RV I meant that i will be coming over in about 4 weeks but i want to stay for a year or more if i can wrangle it. I have made an appointment to get my visa. Yes I thought that i would have to pay more with booking late. Drat.

Thanks Shayne Looks like I will be coming over sooner than I thought. I hope to be over in 4 weeks depending on how long it takes to get a visa. I will be staying in Florida in a complex looking at vans.

Thanks for that Newt. It wasn't about health care that I was thinking of. It was more on the lines of the work involved in driving and map reading when your concentration is not good, and then the lifting of the water bottles etc.
