    Nada guide confusion

Doubt if you are doing anything wrong.  Sometimes the year/model gets mixed up on RVs because the chassis is made a year before the unit is assembled.  Look at a year older and newer to see if you find what he has.  If not, I guess you could get him to confirm that his registration paperwork...

Do you disconnect when you park?

Sometimes we disconnect the truck when we stop for the night and sometimes we forget.  Either way, the truck does not run down and is not supposed to.  There is a gadget that keeps the trailer from drawing out of the truck battery.  It could run it's battery down and the truck battery would...

Where in PA?  We are up near Erie and watching the rest of our winter's snow melt. The weight of your trailer was probably 2990#.  Many manufacturer's did that even though they used a 3000# or even 3500# axle so that the trailer did not need brakes in states like PA that require them on...

    Lighting in older RVs

For experts on the matter of lighting for RVs, check the ad at the top of the page for RV LED bulbs.  Call them or look at their web page.  They are very knowledgeable and helpful.  I have some of their newer 12V fixtures and they do a great job.

    Would you ever???...

Yes.  With the sort of careful investigation and confirmation that they have no doubt done.

Dealer claims RV is unsellable and cancelled contract, but it's still for sale!

Seems like it has been quite a hassle but I bet you are further ahead by walking away.  Having to deal with other issues, and a dealer that apparently would not satisfy you, could end up ruining the experience forever.  Enjoy your new trailer.  I bet it will be a good one.

New and would greatly appreciate some input!

If you feel that you paid for diagnostics that were not done or done incorrectly, it might pay to contact CW with the details and ask for at least your money back.  And when they ignore you, send an e-mail to their CEO, Marcus Lemonis, who has shown an interest in making things right with his...

Are any new motor homes built with no slides?

If you spend some time in the Forum, understanding what many shoppers are looking for, you will find that a used unit is considered to be a good buy.  Not just because of the savings but the major issues have probably been dealt with.  And many older RV's have no slides.  Look at pre-2000 and...

New and would greatly appreciate some input!

If you are mobile, there is an excellent service center in Cochranton, PA which is about 20 miles below Erie, and just off I-79.  That should be pretty close to you and NE Ohio.  If you can't move it, you might drive over there and talk to the service manager.  He is very good and will probably...

How to proceed after running AVG AntiVirus program

I've used the free Avast for many years and had absolutely no issues.

    Pennsylvania newbie

As another Pennsylvanian, it is easy to see why you would want the ability to winter some other place than at home. Especially after this winter. You seem to have made some wise decisions.  The truck will allow you a lot of flexibility in your trailer shopping.  I've never heard anybody say...

Your Thoughts on Either of These Three?

Keep in mind that "asking price" may be higher than "willing to take price."  Or negotiating the delivery that you require.

    Safe to walk on roof?

I've used the plywood sheets to spread out my weight and they do work well.  I used 4' x 4' and just pushed it ahead of where I wanted to be.  Probably spreads the weight over several studs.

    Safe to walk on roof?

Much easier to buy a ten foot stepladder and use it (at home) to access the roof and work on the roof from the ladder when the issue is within 2-3' of the edge. I bought a heavier rated ladder and it makes most projects much easier and safer.
