Newbie Q: Can you just stop by the side of the road and have a meal in your TT?

My girls wont use the rest area bathrooms when we stop at them. I unlock the RV for them and i go inside. We often stop and eat as well.

I was passing through lynchberg Ky last October and decided to take the Jack Daniels tour. As we neared the distillery we were stuck in a traffic jam. It happend to be the weekend of the Jack Daniels invitational BBQ Contest, We had no idea. We didn't have time to fight the crowds so we just...

Lessons learned in 2011 (national lampoons RV trip)

I guess you don't need to carry coolant, but it's cheeper if you do. I paid $4 a gallon at home when it was on sale. Don't run across sales on vehicle fluids at travel centers too often.

Lessons learned in 2011 (national lampoons RV trip)

Ft. wilderness was the nicest park I have seen yet. We stayed 5 nights and got 4 days worth of park hopper-water park tickets. this allowed us to leave one park and hit another the same day. Total for Disney alone was just under $2000. In my family's of 4's opinion it was well worth it.We chose...

Lessons learned in 2011 (national lampoons RV trip)

We purchased our TT late in 2010 so we did not get much of a chance to get out on the road. After a winter of planning, and dreaming, summer was upon us. Our First Big trip was to Orlando FL, FT. Wilderness Disney, the trip of trips. I spent months researching campgrounds along the way, making...

    cincinnati to disneyworld

We  went to disneyworld in june and stoped overnight in macon GA at lake tobesofkee. Its owned by the county and only cost $25 for full hook up. If you do stop there plan on eating a The fish and Pig resturant down the street.

Was looking at a Chevy Tahoe, and small TT, but look at the gas prices!

I have seen gas for $4 now. Dosent bother me. We got our TT late last summer, actually it was more like fall, and we are taking it to disney this summer. I don't care if gas is $6 a gallon we will still go. I do hope it dosent get to that. We will still have a blast camping and boating no matter...

What made you guys chose a TT over something like a class C?

For my family a TT made more senxe for now. The wife and i do wan a small class A after the kids have grown and gone. a TT was much cheaper and has lots of space, but long trips would be nice in a coach.  Good luck with your decision,

Frozen fresh water tank - chances?

Im glad that your lines didn't freeze that would have been a lot more expensive than putting your in laws up in a hotel. I also learned that the de oderizing chemicals arent as good as septic treatment that is a real surprise. It's a good thing wal-mart has a liberal return policy. See ya all...
