'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

I'll definitely keep that in mind should something go awry with the living room slide. That's the one that runs the dual cylinders on the synchro system. Luckily, my bedroom slide cylinder is a single, and was able to get it rebuilt and reinstalled. Fingers crossed that's the last time I...

'02 Winnebago Chieftain basement air issue

You might want to check around with some local HVAC Contractors in your area. I was able to get 2 new Tecumseh Compressors ordered, and have them sitting in my garage ready for install. Some guys will go ahead and do the work either on the side, or as paid company service (Just need to find...

'02 Winnebago Chieftain basement air issue

I'll hedge a bet you have a compressor issue. I indirectly became sort of an 'expert' on these with some issues that I had on the 2002 Adventurer that I bought back in May. Fan ran constantly on the unit we bought - neither compressors fired up according to the sequences on the manual...

    Itasca basement air

I'm 99% certain it's the same one if it's side discharge. If you ever want more info, or need extra help, shoot me a message and we can do a Google duo or zoom call. Happy to share what I learned.

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

The RV Gods must've been watching over me. Got the cylinder rebuilt. (Chicago or area folks - check out Miller Hydraulic in Manteno, IL) Cost less than new - but worked out fantastic. We were able to get it re-installed after some fighting with the allen screw locks - but it's been saved...

    Itasca basement air

You're going to have an interesting time finding a new replacement (based on the updated model number). I went through this very exercise with my '02 Adventurer that also has the Basement AC Unit. Scoured the internet for weeks, and each outfit I found that had the new unit for sale actually...

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

I'll try anything at this point. I know there'll be a way to get it all right. Bummer is the fact nobody makes the damn cylinder new right now. Going to talk to the hydraulic shop by me and hopefully get them to rebuild it to where I can get it back in and functioning (even though they won't...

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

I just can't seem to get ahead on anything with this. Hydraulic outfit called me back (had dropped it off to be re-packed) and they told me the glands on the cylinder were shot as well - so rebuilding was something of a process, and they wouldn't be able to guarantee or warranty their work (I'd...

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

Turns out the cylinder is not one that is made by HWH anymore - they have an updated production number (from AP15818 to RAP28362). After a bunch of searching online, looks like you can't find these anywhere! I've got a hydraulic guy working on a quote to have it rebuilt-but has anyone had...

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

Update: Mobile repair guy came out, and after some struggling,we were able to get the cylinder out. Looks like the gasket/seal popped out on a side of the piston causing it to leak out and be stuck. Going to have both lines made new, and put a new cylinder in. Fun stuff!

'02 Adventurer Hydraulic Slide (Bedroom) Issue

I seem to be a glutton for punishment with this stuff! Just had something happen and I'm trying to figure out the fix. Just got back from our trip to Wisconsin and started unpacking at home. Put the jacks down and ran out the bedroom slide to get at the rest of what was in the hamper for...

    Adventurer 35U Basement AC Troubleshooting

Update to the saga - and man am I appreciative of all this information! My tested salvage unit was delivered to me from AZ RV Salvage in Glendale, AZ on Friday. My HVAC guy and I set aside today as the install date, and we got to work on it this AM. Following all the previous user...

    New to RV world…

My wife and I are pretty new to the RV experience as well, and have just a couple of small jaunts under our belt with our 3 kids (7, 5, and 16 months). We bought about a month ago - and had a similar road taken to where we got to today. Previously, we'd taken cruises with our 2 boys (before...

    Adventurer 35U Basement AC Troubleshooting

Will do. Place I am purchasing it from did a full test to ensure proper heating and cooling, and are offering a 30 day guarantee. Gentleman I've been speaking with said they were going to replace all the capacitors as well. Will be sure to go over it again and clean where needed. To answer...

    Portable Air Conditioner

I'd do some extra reading on these before, and if you were to buy one, buy the next size up or two... AND look into the return policy after purchasing. My wife and I bought one from Best Buy as we're in the process of getting our Coleman Mach Basement AC fixed in our Adventurer (see other post...
