Again, that's another point where we differ. I can see a beautiful sunset from my backyard. But, as for those romantic campfires? No thanks. I did that stuff in my younger years and, truth be told, didn't like it then. I only went for the beer. Now that I'm an old curmudgeon, I like it...

Oh, we're not even going to cast our shadows on the NPS. It will all be over juuuuuust before the elections. Of course, then the climate "crisis" will take center stage and all the little lemmings will be living in fear of THAT. Have I mentioned that I hate politicians and bureaucrats?

My idea of fun and yours must vary immensely. Spending time crawling around looking for broken stuff and popped circuit breakers, dealing with morons that don't understand you can't stop on a dime or reach 90 MPH, catalytic converter thieves (and other thieves), Navy showers (I spent 21 years...

That's the first place we're going to hit. Since the national parks are still goofy with masks mandates & such, we're going to pass on 'em. Too bad since Mammoth Caves is a national park and it's only 2.5 hours from us.

Absolutely. The only reason we got the motorhome was because of my wife's back thinking if it starts to hurt, she could go lie down on the bed. But, she's retired now and we figured that we are unencumbered by time constraints, so we can stop and walk around anytime her back starts hurting. I...

Yup! Took 1 1/2 weeks. We got exactly what we were asking, too.

Starting at $200 a day, THAT ain't happening. We just turned over the keys to the consignment dealer. Once burned, twice learned. We're done. Back to automobile roadtrips and staying in hotels along the way.

No. But I do recognize a smart ass with no helpful input.

Thanks. We are about to drive it 2 hours 45 minutes to the ONE AND ONLY PLACE that will take it under consignment. I wish things would/could have worked out. I can honestly say I did MONTHS and MONTHS of researching, learning, watching videos, etc. before we made the purchase. It wasn't...

I have a 50 amp system. All this will be a moot point after 11am tomorrow. The RV goes on consignment to sell. It has robbed me of enough joy to last a lifetime.

Oh, and BTW, here are the "dogbones" I have. The big, honkin' yellow power cable is coiled and unbendable.

Unbelieveably, I just went out and started things up (generator and engine) and I now have 110V!!! I did NOTHING but start things up. I still don't have power to the bedroom slide but I'll face that when the temps go up a little. Right now, I'm thrilled that it's got what it's got. I hate...

OK. I'm going to trust you on this. I don't care about the power limit. I don't have ANY as it stands.

OK. This helps. The batteries aren't dead. They are fully-charged having been charged overnight. The generator starts right up and runs fine. The engine starts right up and runs fine. I'm hesitant to plug into my house at this point because it seems if I look at this thing the wrong way...

I have the adapters. I've attempted to go to shore power once before and it tripped my circuit breaker. If someone/anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, it would be MUCH appreciated. Am I supposed to take this honkin' cable and plug it into a 110 source? I'm normally pretty good about...
