    Converter issue or wiring?

It's been a while but my old WFCO converter had charged at a higher rate from time to time. Don't recall what the amps going in were but they were considerably more than 10 - 15v. It had likely gone into bulk mode. The problem with the WFCO converter is, as best I know, you can't force it...

    Converter issue or wiring?

According to WFCO tech support, the converter will output 14.4v for the first 30 seconds, but needs to see a 22 amp draw to maintain it, otherwise the voltage will be reduced to 13.6v. I've never seen 14.4v except when the alternator is running. My battery monitor system has never seen more...

    Converter issue or wiring?

The mystery of the WFCO AD converter. According to WFCO, if I fully discharge the lithium batteries and then turn on the converter it is supposed to charge via the lithium profile. From what I've read, that doesn't always work. WFCO has updated the converters firmware and I might try that...

    Converter issue or wiring?

I wouldn't know which wire or where to disconnect. Even if I did, wouldn't I have two new issues. First the start battery would only be charged by the alternator. Second that would defeat the ability to use the house batteries to start the engine. Sounds like you're suggesting the wiring...

    Converter issue or wiring?

Purchased a WFCO AD (auto detect) converter last September. Despite its auto detect feature it's never gone into the Lithium mode. WFCO has explained how to make that happen but I don't have a way to separate the house from chassis battery so it's still charging on the Lead Acid basis. For...

Do I get an award or something???

Another Octogenarian here. Be 81 in June. Started RVing in 2008 after purchasing our first travel trailer. Don't know how many miles we've put on the clock since, but likely more than 100,000. Longest outing was about 4 months. Usually we're on the road for 2 or 3 months. Since the...

Do I get an award or something???

Can't imagine what it would be, but I'm sure the Wizard of Oz could come up with something.

    Rv size

The biggest issues we've had with rv size is not the actual site but the tight turns on campground roads.

Who is getting richer and richer these days?

I guess you never bought anything from Amazon or any of the other 15 companies Bezos owns.

Who is getting richer and richer these days?

The problem with this analogy, at least over the past 60 - 70 years has been the diminishing returns. Over time, less and less of his wealth has found its ways into the pockets of his workers. There's no doubt in my mind that the last thing the rich man thinks about is putting more money into...

    Gravel grid system parking area

That's the one question I was hoping to answer before installing a system and the reason I'm think of doing just a small section of the pad. Most of the systems I've seen advertised suggest a capacity of about 1800 lbs per sf. That's more than enough for a typical auto. But even my...

    Gravel grid system parking area

This is an example of the system I'm interested in. Permeable Gravel driveways stabilized for vehicle and pedestrian traffic – Green Driveway There are many but they all do the same thing. They keep the gravel in place. These systems are used more in Canada and England.
