    Hissing Water Pump

Bingo. I’m over messing around. It may be overkill, but I’d rather replace the whole thing than spend any more time on this.

    Hissing Water Pump

That’s what it sounds like. I only really hear it when the pump stops. Sounds like bleeding air then it kicks back on

    Hissing Water Pump

The hissing sound is right at the water pump, not at a faucet.

    Hissing Water Pump

Would I install a check valve before the pump? That way the pressure gets past the valve inside the pump but gets stopped in the intake line?

    Hissing Water Pump

Hmmm. Ya know, as I think about that, that just may be the issue. The check valve was already messing up by allowing the city water to fill the tank. Maybe I fixed it enough T to stop that, but it’s still losing some pressure through the check valve…?

    Hissing Water Pump

It still pumps water, so it’s not a primed issue. No drain valve after the pump from what I can tell.

    Hissing Water Pump

I don’t think the check valve is the issue anymore since it isn’t back flowing into the tank. Do you think a bad check valve could still lead to the cycling pump?

    Hissing Water Pump

After the first use since winterizing, my water pump cycles on and off. The check valve was acting up also, allowing city water to fill the fresh water tank. I took the pump apart and think I fixed that. But the pump still cycles, and when it shuts off, there is definitely a hissing sound...

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

Interesting. When I was messing around with some connections, some of the water spilling out was warmer than I expected it would be. I disconnected the hose on the pressurized side of the pump and that water was warm...I wonder if the water heater is pushing water back down it's cold water...

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

Nothing like that. Just the opening for fresh water to fill it and the city water connection right next to it.

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

Yes, even with the regulator it backflows into the tank. some valve will not close. I am wondering if this valve is also causing the pump to continuously run...

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

I was thinking I'd just replace that whole faucet since that seems pretty easy, but I doubt that is the issue since it only acts up when I connect the quick connect hose for it. "Stem" of the fresh tank valve.... What/where exactly is that? Right where you stick the hose to fill?

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

No, the "shower" spray port right above my intakes (city and fresh). Looks like a sink faucet, but has the quick connect for that hose. It does not leak at all when under pressure from city or water pump. but when i connect the hose, hot water flows freely. I took the hot handle apart and...

    Holler!

We bought a house last May. So I was able to store it. We bought it because temp lodging was crazy expensive and I'd rather put that money to a trailer. Learned to ski as well!

Easier to Just Replace Water Pump?!

So we just used our 2021 Keystone Passport after it's first winter in Montana...and I already have lessons learned, like forgetting to run antifreeze through the spray ports and city water port.... Current things I know: 1. City water is filling the fresh water tank. I tried turning off the...
