I would not use this on rv ac,it's for large units that are 220 volt and might let the smoke out of your 120 volt unit

I know a guy that after owning rvs for 30 years had a electrian wire a 240 volt outlet at his rv pad,needless to say it did't turn out well for him.

We have a 28 foot 5th wheel,when we traveled moving every day or two i was glad it wasn't any larger because some of the campgrounds and highways would have been quite a hassel with a bigger rig.

About 15 years ago they had check points set up at Hoover dam and looked in the pickup and trailer before crossing the dam.

I have a friend who went from a 5th wheel to bumper pull trailer, after 2 trips he went back to 5th wheel because of sway issues. You may not have that problem, but you should see if you could find a 5th wheel that would't overload your truck before you make final decision.

When we broke down Good Sam sent a roll back wrecker, winched pickup on wrecker bed, put 5th wheel plate attachment on wheel lift, hooked trailer up, to rv park that Good Sam had reserved and set trailer up

  To answer your question, I don't think so. These small A.C. units normaly don't have service valves insalled   from factory. Make sure the air filter is clean in unit,and it is complety thawed out. If it's cooling at all it's   probaly not low on freon,as there is such a small amount in them...

Insurance companies auction vehicles they have totaled out all the time. From all the rust sounds like this may be a unit that came from a flood some where.

Have to agree with Mopar Man,there has to be thrmostatic control some where to control temp. After almost 40 years in heat&air business ,you for sure have to control temperture on any refigeration system.

congrats on your new trailer,looks like you've got a good list started,but it's impossible to have everthing you will need on first trip.make sure toilet paper is quick dissolving (there is a test of best paper on forum) Enjoy yourselves and don't forget to take pocketful of money.

If you have checked with a volt meter and have power to the breakers and also on the load side of breakers then i would check for broken or loose wire connection, possibly on the ground side of electric system.

My pickup is a early 2004 that is the same as yours,my 5th wheel is high profile 28 ft that wieghs appro.11000 loaded, it does great job pulling trailer.I think as long as you stay within weight ratings you will be very happy with your truck,especially going uphill,there no substitute for diesel...
