Found a YouTube on the thermostat.  Evidently, at some point in time, the "Fan" setting was changed from Auto to Low.  Therefore, fan never shut off unless AC turned off.

Wow!  Is there a feasible by-pass route.  On our way up this trip we will just be in the truck, but it definately sounds like a route to avoid with a 38' horse trailer with horses.
