    Next Question 🤷‍♂️

I agree with most of what was posted above but the one thing I see everybody failed to mentioned is the fact that you should not dump your black tank until it is at least two-thirds full. If you do, you will get the dreaded "poop pyramid". Being a newbie you may not have heard about it. It is...

    Motorhome or Travel trailer

We pull our TT with a with a crew cab truck with a cab high canopy on the back. That's where our 100 lb Chesapeake rides. She has a large bed and a no spill water dish with plenty of ventilation. The canopy also provides covered storage for a few things.

    Decisions, decisions, Fords or Dodge

Diesel all the way. I don't want to pull without an exhaust brake.

    Oregon trip and pandemic

We stayed at Bullards Beach State Park just north of Bandon Oregon at the first part of July.  Thirty-three dollars a night for full hook up sites.  The state parks in Oregon are fantastic.  You had to make reservations at least 24 hours in advance because they were not manning the kiosk for...

6162 norcold igniter intermittently not working - maybe bad connection from main

I had a very similar problem while still under warranty.  They initially thought it was the control board and replaced it which did not solve the issue.  Ultimately it was the igniter. Norcold sent the tec a complete burner tube assembly with igniter wire and thing have been working well since.

Old Timer + 50 Crowd - Shingles Vaccinations (No Young 'Ens Allowed) Wink

My supplemental (AARP United Health Care) did not cover it.  I opted to pay the $179 for the first shot.  My wife's Blue Shield considers it preventative so they paid for hers. Second shot in about 6 weeks.

Redwood Forest (Orick, Ca) to Death Valley via Reno route

We live 30 miles south of Orick in McKinleyville.  I too recommend the route suggested by nvrver.  Lots of beautiful country when traveling this route.  We just did this basic route in route to Texas in November.

    Not the sharpest Firefighters

Thanks HappyWanderer for expanding on my post.  Good Information.  :)) :))

    Not the sharpest Firefighters

Prior to the Fire Department arriving and in the early stages of a vehicle engine fire, a dry chemical extinguisher would be my method of choice.  Assuming the fire starts with a broken fuel line, the fuel comes into contact with the hot exhaust manifold and ignites (a very common cause of...

    Not the sharpest Firefighters

I was a firefighter for 30 years and rarely criticize other firefighters.  However, the engine crew seemed pretty inept. The first mistake was parking downhill from a burning vehicle. The engine fire was probably caused by a broken fuel line leaking fuel onto a hot manifold.  The leaking fuel...

    New mattress

We also bought the Serenia 8" Foam but in standard queen.  It is a great mattress.  I would highly recommend.

traveling to Gold Beach, Ore from Sacramento

I live in Eureka and have made the drive to Sacramento too many times to count.  The best route in my opinion is I-5 to highway 20 and over to US 101. North on 101 to Gold Beach is no problem.  I pull a 22 foot TT.

Northern California Coast RV Park Suggestions

Welcome to the North Coast.  I have lived in the area since 1968 so I feel I know it pretty well.  It is a wonderful place to visit and live although this year is and has been very wet. In fact raining as I write this. As for camping. Closer to Eureka than Crescent City is Patricks Point State...

    Wall mounted Television?

You have confirmed my thoughts.  The mount that was in the trailer (a slightly used 2016) when we bought it is in the same location that the factory installs them as an option. However,  I am not sure if it is a factory or aftermarket installation.  Until I can install a system to secure it...

    Wall mounted Television?

I recently added a 23 inch flat screen television to our new to us TT which already had a swing away wall mount installed.  I have been wondering if most travel with it mounted, take it down and store it on the bed, or some other option.  I would hate to arrive at our first destination and find...
