    Air leak

2006 Discovery 39V, Freightliner XCs chassis When I flip the suspension switch from lower to auto the pressure won't build back up beyond 70 lbs. on the front and occasionally on the rear. I think the valve is sticking partway as I can hear hissing in front of the rear tires similar to when I...

New owner, on our first trip holding tank questions

No one else has mentioned this so I will.  I was given a tip by an RV guy to jack up the rig higher on one side so any residual waste in the tanks collect away from the outlet so things can seal better and you won't have to fight the drip drip drip while you're working on it.

Which part of Oregon?  Portland is pretty much a carbon copy of Cali but the rest of the state is pretty rural and has a very "Jeffersonian" quality about it.  Where we live on the southern coast could be transplanted to rural Texas and very little would be out of place.

That's why I live in Oregon, all the beauty of Cali but none of the politics and/or regulation. That said, please don't all move here...  ;-) I kid, I kid, just joking...

Are you trying to troll me Ken? I  think so, but in case you're not... There have been several on here and thousands of others who have driven a lot of miles without toad brakes, and for many years they weren't even required.  Both of which prove the point we're both making (ironically enough)...

    Tow advice

From a physics POV a towing vehicle decelerating is a towing vehicle decelerating, the manner as to how it does so is immaterial.  If it's stopping at a rate of 20 mph over x amount of feet it doesn't matter if it's via brakes, engine braking or even a good headwind, the forces at play know...

    Tow advice

Because you have the same situation as though you were applying the MH brakes with no toad braking.  The lead vehicle slowing while the towed has no braking doesn't differ one way or the other between engine braking and using air brakes. Put another way,  the engine braking is not substantially...

    Tow advice

I like the idea of a system that would work under deceleration w/o braking (e.g. downhill with engine brake on) versus only coming on when the towing vehicle brakes are applied and proportional as well. And so for that reason alone I will most likely go with the Ready Brake. I've been modding...

That's a good point.  In addition to being a KISS solution it seems like it would work well when the engine brake activates as well.
