    Older propane tnaks?

I must have ran through some very corrosive material last winter, because this past spring when I was going to get the propane tank refilled it was completely rusted.  It was a Manchester 36 gallon tank that was powder coated and 90 percent of the coating was flaking off. I took the coach to...

    Roof top air cond.

Dick, I'll 2nd or 3rd the Dometic Penguin.  Another question, since you have basement A/C are any of your roof vents wired for 110VAC?  If one of them is then it's a no brainer, but if none of them are wired, then your going to have to figure how to get the wiring to the vent.

    Atwood Water Heater

Make sure the propane leak detector is turned on.  If it's off you will not get any propane flow even though the propane valve is open. Earl D.

    Navy Stuff

James,  I doubt if any of the sailors today even know what SINS was.  I'm not even sure what navigation system they use I think it's ESGN.

Ever Heard of a Barth Motorhome??

When I retired from the navy in 1973, I worked in the service dept of an RV dealer that sold Barth's.  At the time they were considered the Cadillac of motor homes.  Very well built and quite expensive

    Navy Stuff

Jim,  I think we actually may have crossed pathes.  In 61-62 I was onboard USS Medregal SS-480 out of Pearl Harbor and we did make a trip back to the west coast.  We did some exercises with surface craft and aircraft from Widbey Island.  Don't remember what destroyers were involved.  I got...

    Navy Stuff

Sure was Dick.  I qualified on USS Medregal SS 480 in Pearl.  Then spent 5 years on USS Simon Bolivar SSBN 641 (commissioning crew Gold).  I didn't get into submarines until my ninth year in the navy, so prior to that I did some time on AKAs LSTs and 1 DD (Lofberg). Also put the USS L.Y. Spear...

Anyone had any dealings with Lazy Days in Tampa?

Purchased a 1999 Country Coach Allure through Lazy Days for delivery at the CC factory in Junction City OR.  Traded in a 1993 Pace Arrow Diesel 36 Ft.  Did the entire deal via phone and fax.  Drove the Pace from Virginia to Florida and delivered it to Lazy Days, they checked it over, then it was...

Opinion on 92 Winnebago Adventurer diesel pusher

In addition to the engine performance, the LP generator consumes propane at an alarming rate.  So you had better have a very large propane tank if you intend to do much dry camping.

    Towing Certain Cars?

I just checked the Motor Home Magazine web site for towable vehicles and it listed the Dodge Durango 4WD towable with no mods?  I know when the Durango first came out I checked into towing it and there was a neutral position on the transfer case, but the thing weighed 4300 pounds, so I decided...

    KVH Satellite Dome

Hello again Keith,  I checked the KVH tech manual (Mine is an L3) and it has two RF connectors that can be connected to two receivers with no mods other than running two separate coaxial cables into the coach. You may want to email KVH at "[email protected]" and ask them about the S3 antenna. Earl

    KVH Satellite Dome

Hi Keith,  I have the KVH dome, but only have a single receiver.  I do believe you can get it with a Duel LNB to operate two separate receivers.  I will look in the tech manual and see if it tells you in there.  I know it can be programmed for two satellite's

    Low branches

Smokey, you might try to contact the local county authorities and have them trim the low branches.  I had a very damaging encounter with a low tree limb in Seffner Florida.  I sent the county a very emotional email and they responded by sending out a bucket truck to remove the low limb.  They...
