    Slides and Jacks Stopped Working

There are a couple of relays mounted on the motor that haven't been mentioned ( I think). You might check to see if voltage is going in and out when the jack extend button is pushed.  They switch power to the motor.

Removing Coleman basement heat pump from 32' Itasca Horizon DP

I have the same 32TD as you, and have had mine out a couple of times.  Everyone has given you good advice, and the only thing I can add is that the piece of metal along the bottom is part of the frame the AC sits on and is not removable.  Just pull the unit towards you after lowering the support...

Thinking of changing out Captains chairs

Fred, For Bostrom seats check out the parts departments of heavy duty (semi) truck dealers, or heavy duty parts houses.  There is one near me that has a seat set up in the sales counter area.  Most of these seat are air ride, in that they have a air bag suspension system that is not mounted on a...

    Norcold Refrigerator Model differences

NY_Dutch, thanks for that info.  I have been looking at their site, but didn't see the 842 units before.  I'll give them a call tomorrow.  I am pretty sure the IM means the ice maker is factory installed.

    Norcold Refrigerator Model differences

I have a Norcold N842IM that has quit cooling.  In researching replacement units I find mostly N841 models on sale.  Does anyone know what the differences are between these two models?  They appear to be the same size, and from looking at their parts list, appear to share most parts.  The door...

    Insulation R-Value Question

Why worry about the R value of the walls when the entrance door has an R value of essentially zero....a piece of aluminum on the outside and a sheet of plastic on the inside of a metal frame.  There's a real insulation upgrade opportunity.  Wouldn't hurt the sound transmission qualities either. ...

    Chieftain V10 HP

Had a 2000 Coachman 32' on a 1999 F53 chassis.  It was rated 275hp, which was sufficient power to pass anything except a gas pump.

Gaak! We have an HWH leak

Jim, I have a jack that will not retract in hot weather, but come cooler weather, is the fastest retracting jack on the coach.  Even opening the T handles on the solenoids makes no difference.  Of course HWH has never heard of such a thing and suggested the new style springs, which the jack...

New project in the works - adding roof air

Yes, use the existing roof duct work.  There are ceiling kits for RVs that use in the roof ducting, had them on a Coachmen I owned once.  I realize you would end up reverse feeding the duct to the basement AC, and I haven't thought through the effects of that yet.  Just thought you might achieve...

New project in the works - adding roof air

Has anyone installed a roof air on a model with basement air and used a ceiling assembly that utilizes the ducts in the roof?  It appears it could be done by carving ducts in the styrofoam insulation to each side of the roof opening to connect to the ducts.  I think I have figured how how to get...

    Kitchen/Bathroom floor tiles shifting

Mine have shifted right beside the toilet, about the spot people stand.  I have not beeen able to shift them as they run under the wall between the kitchen and the bathroom.  I think the wall shifts while moving and minutely works the tile across the subfloor.  I'm considering filling the gap...
