    Body work

Need a recommendation on what to use to repair broken plastic.  The rear of the RV hit a concrete pilon and punched the plastic corner edging.  The rounded corner edging is a about 2" in width and extends up to the roof.  Some sort of sandable filler is what I am looking for, then paint. ...

    Coach Battery Charging

I already have charging capabilities with the genset, but I would like to be able to charge the coach batteries with the engine alternator, as well.  We do a lot of boondocking, and this would be a great alternative.  Maybe a charge line with a manual sw?

    Coach Battery Charging

I would like to install a charge line for the Coach batteries.  Since most RV do not have wiring for this, anybody have an idea how to keep seperate from the engine battery.  I tried installing a straight line from generator to the coach battery, by doing so I inadvertedly bypassed the c/off...

    Tire Price Range

I was also astounded, but after a few phone calls and and a few stops, here and there, I was able to find Road King 19.5x8r for $150 ea. (Tax, mounted, and bag balance) I understand they are real good tires and an offshoot from Goodyear.  Problem I had was finding a shop to balance, but not a...

    Check Engine Light

Just found out what the problem was with the Check Engine light.  Bad Coolant Sensor, I know sounds crazy, but apparrantly if this sensor goes bad it will affect the fuel system, as well.  Will check out the fuel symptoms, on our next trip starting Monday. Thanks, Randy PS Was able to flash...

    Check Engine Light

I have a 91 Coachmen w/454.  The engine light came on about a month ago, and is running rich.  Black smoke out of the exhaust and plugs are black. Sometimes it will flood, gas just pours in thru the throttle body injectors.  Problem is, I did the jumber wire on the data link connector and the...

    Restriping

Shadowman,   I like that "Polishing a Turd".  I have a heat gun that I am going to try.  Turbo charged Hair Dryer. Will post the results.  May try the hair dryer first, though.    When you installed the Banks system, how did you get around the check engine light with removing the converter...

    Restriping

Shadowman, Thanks, would like to find something more modern as well.  I find myself looking at RV on the road and I like the sweeping decals.  Have not found yet.  How do you like the Banks system?  The Stinger is that Exhaust only?  Been thinking about it but man is it expensive, worth it?

    Check Engine Light

I have a 91 Coachmen with Chevy 454.  The check engine light came on our last trip.  Running rich when on cold start, then seems to run fine after warm up.  But warm start up, it idles real high till we are in motion.  (Fuel injected throttle body) Anybody have this problem and what was the...

    Propane Conversion

Anybody had their gasoline RV converted to run on Propane.  I had read in a motorhome mag that some early model RV's use to be able to switch from one tank to the other with a flip of a switch.  Did not catch on, but I am entertaining the thought.  Anybody make the switch and how? Thanks, Randy

    Tanks

It is a Coachmen Classic.  Do not know how many gallons it holds.  The sensors show empty when I dump, I usually run water thru it though and it cleans it up.  Would love to go a week or more, before dumping.  I did notice that the tank is shaped like a wedge, sensors are on the the deep end. So...

    Tanks

Has anybody set up dual black water tanks.  We can not go more than two days boondocking before we have to dump.  Gray water is OK for longer.  Would a macerator help in this department. Thanks, Randy
