Let's see pictures of your 4x4!

Mike & Ken,   I do have a tow defender.  I was able to get it all connected.  I swapped the two receiver inserts from my crossbar with ones he had and it all lined up and I'm good to go.  As for your comments mike regarding the nighthawk towbar without the crossbar, by friend who is just...

What are best options for Satellite TV for occasional use?

We have DirecTV.  We are occasional users also.  They allow you to suspend your service for up to 6 months.  We pay for their cheapest package, and then when we know the MH is going to be in storage for an extended period of time, we suspend the service.  It has worked for us so far. Steve

Let's see pictures of your 4x4!

Mike:   It has a Roadmaster base plate with receiver slots already installed.  I thought that was a big plus.  The crossbar I have from by Ford Edge isn't the same width.  It's like 2 inches wider.  I'm assuming I will have to buy a new crossbar at the proper width?  I looked at mine and it...

Looking forward to hitting the trails with many of you in my "new to me" Jeep.  Been wanting this for a long time! Steve

    Chris Pennings

Dee and I only had the pleasure of meeting him at once.  Our impression seems to be the one shared by all who knew him much better than us.  Such a kind and friendly guy.  I had always hoped we would cross paths again.  i guess that will have to wait until the big RV park in the sky.  RIP...

Unfortunately, Steve and Dee are not going to be able to make this rally.  Post lots of pictures.  Still hope to make it to Death Valley some day. Steve

The western US in the new rig, fulltime! Just the facts Maam!

It was great running into you at Winchester Bay, Marty.  Unfortunately, we left early the next morning, so no time for a visit.  Would have loved to ask you some questions about the new Jeep.  Perhaps next time.  Hope you enjoy Winchester Bay as much as we did. Happy Travels, Steve & Dee

    RV Tire Extenders

I can add just more confusion to the question.  I have valve extenders and a TPMS on my 34' motorhome.  I have use the extenders for the entire 7 years I've owned the coach, with no issues.  However, I did have a couple of sensors on my TPMS start leaking, but I replaced them.  I am just getting...

First night in our new motorhome

Pam & Kevin:   Congrats on the new rig.  Quite a step up from what you had when we were in Yosemite.  Many happy miles!  I'm hoping we will get the opportunity to see it in Death Valley.  That's still on our radar for early November. Best, Steve

    Power steps

I have a Winnebago Journey with a single step.  I had it changed to a double step.  It was not just a simple swap out.  I had to have it professionally done.  After installation, I had nothing but trouble with it being unstable and even snapping off the bolt.  I ended up having it replaced. ...

The western US in the new rig, fulltime! Just the facts Maam!

Marty:   I've been enjoying following along.  We travel the same route frequently, although we usually stay at New Brighton State Beach in Aptos, CA.  I am interested to see where you go from here.  I am off work the last week of June and the first week of July and am thinking about heading up...

    Ouray Off-Roading Adventure August 11-18, 2018

Quote from Mike (not sure why it doesn't show that way) Robin, I haven't had any personal experience with any of the rental places but Steve & Dee rented one last year from the KOA where we are staying and I think they had a good experience with them.  Hopefully Steve will see this and chime in...

    200000 Miles

Congrats Terry & Betty.  We are trying to follow your example. At 55,000 miles we have a long way to go.  I am keeping the same type of records, but doing it by hand.  Nice to know there's a program if I want it. Your repaint gave me the confidence to do it.  So glad I did.  Now I want your...

Death Valley rally November 4-11 2018

Pam:   This looks really promising for us.  I am already off work that week.  Death Valley has been a bucket list place for me.  Although we live in So Cal, we have never been to Death Valley.  It would be great to see you guys again after meeting you at the Yosemite Rally last May.  After tax...

05 Winnie Journey or 04 Gulf Stream Crescendo same miles?

I have a 2005 Winnebago Journey 34H.  I am the second owner.  I bought it 6 years ago with 32K miles.  Now I have 56K miles.  I am VERY happy with this motorhome.  I have had minimal issues, mostly plastic things getting old and breaking, but no significant issues.  I have had only one...
