    Atwood Oven Problem

OK, I installed the new gas/safety valve and all is well.  The oven cycled through several temperature on and offs and so I think I have it fixed.  Although the gas/safety valve was not thought by some to be the problem, after researching the function of all the components of the oven, I...

    Oven problems

See my thread http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php/topic,81794.0.html  Maybe it will help.  I have not installed the new gas/safety valve yet, so don't know for sure if that is the problem or not.  I will eventually and post.

I want to coat my TPO roof

Thanks Gary.  I think at this point, I am going to take a close look at it this summer and go from there.  I do have a better understanding now, and can make intelligent decisions I think.

Anyone have an opinion on the EPDM coatings advertised on this site, in the advertisement banner above?

temporary rubber roof repair before replacement is duct tape or gorilla tape ok?

What I have found is that Flex Seal is that it is petroleum based and will soften and curl a rubber roof.

I want to coat my TPO roof

Yes.  You may very well be right.  I am still trying to figure that out.  However, I suspect that an new roof, new membrane, which I would have to hire done, will cost thousands.  So, still contemplating.

    Atwood Oven Problem

Update.  I received the new gas/safety valve from  Harper Wyman, part number 5817G1097 56120 Range Safety Valve Replacement. I have not installed it yet but it appears to be an exact duplicate of the one in my oven.  Keep your fingers crossed that it solves the problem.  I have seen posts on...

I want to coat my TPO roof

Gary, I have done more research and there are several places, in instructions and RV 101 videos that state clearly that Dicor's roof coat 2 part system IS compatible with TPO roofing.  Don't know why they don't just state it up front.  Kind of expensive though.  $500 materials to do my roof.  I...

I want to coat my TPO roof

Gary.  I found the Dicor primer and a lap sealant specific for TPO but the lap cement was just that and came in a tube,  not gallons for coating.  So I contacted them and asked.  Here was their reply, "Our 2 part system ? Activator/Cleaner & Acrylic Coating are safe and effective for use on TPO...

I want to coat my TPO roof

Thanks Gary.  It is not worn through.  However, it is 15 years old and shows some degrading.  It is rough, not smooth as I suspect it was when new.  I purchased the RV last year, used.  It seems to have been taken realy good care of and I have gone on 4 trips now in both summer, fall and winter...

I want to coat my TPO roof

I want to coat my TPO roof.  It is on a 2000 Four Winds.  I can find roof coating for EPDM roofs but not TPO roofs.  Dicor seems to have "Ultra Sealant Primer and sealant" (in a tube) for TPO roofs but not entire roof coating.

    Atwood Oven Problem

Me too Gary, but I have researched the operation of this oven and its components, talked to Atwood and everything points at the gas valve.  So short of taking it and having a "professional" fix it.  The gas valve is where I'm at.  We will see I guess and thanks for your help.

    Atwood Oven Problem

Atwood rep thinks it is probably the thermocouple that opens the gas safety valve, but they are soldered into the valve and can't be replaced.  I am skeptical as well but all other components seem to be functioning correctly.  So I don't know what else to try.  $33 + shipping and at least I have...
