    Moniker/Handle Name

My God, you all must be a bunch of old geezers :) << and at 62, I'm no spring chicken, so it's the pot calling the kettle black >> Since I like throwing monkey wrenches in the works, and we are talking about old times, does anyone remember talking with KBND0338???  I was on the road and the air...

    84 Itasca / Propane problem

John, I had the regulator from the external tanks because I was going direct to the house line (past the house regulator) so when I put'the extend-a-stay in I'm now going through the house regulator and dont have the external regulator in place any longer. Yep, got the fridge, and the hot water...

    84 Itasca / Propane problem

For a follow up here,  I ordered the Extend-a-stay from PPL in Houston (who can aggravate me no end, took 5 days to get about 50 miles!) installed it yesterday and apparently I did have some problems with the regulator on the external tanks. I'm now running through the house regulator and water...
  4. The Dragon

    Moniker/Handle Name

And my two cents here,  The Dragon was chosen when some friends and I on another forum were having an incendiary discussion.  That ties in with my Welsh heritage so my avatar is stolen from the Welsh flag (which Tom picked up immediately!) Most everyone also knows me by my real moniker of Al...

Old (really old!) Rver; New to Forum

Wait a minute - Yeh Wendy Happy Birthday - but Steve (CDN) was 137 on New Years Day, now that's what I call an old timer!

The Arkansas State Park that Moved - Part Deux

Hey, I like finding other people mistakes; let's me stop looking at all of my own ;) I thought I'd been around a lot, but you all make me look like a piker!  Nice seeing places I haven't been to, give me ideas about where I can go. //al

Boise to VA Hospital in SANFRANCISCO and back.

When I wrote that I was thinking in terms of a class B vehicle (single body truck - a box truck like a moving van) not a class A vehicle (tractor-trailer combination) *MY* neighbor would be glad to help, :) good neighbors!

The Arkansas State Park that Moved - Part Deux

Mike, I don't see any contact us on the Haw Creek page, but you might want to note the following type. The part in italics is duplicated ...  and I'm sure someone can delete this message at some point.... Your pictures are great, and the story about a relocated state park <??> is...

Boise to VA Hospital in SANFRANCISCO and back.

Two diffring views of that picture Tom;  I'm a truck driver and though I have a class "A", I'm driving a garbage truck (explanation not relevant here).  That curving street, for a truck driver would be a piece of cake - you just watch the mirrors to make sure the back end doesn't swing too wide...

    The name & the flag

I was out camping one time, somewhere up east if I remember right.  Had a small campfire and coffee going.  Hear this voice "Alfred! ...  Alfred!" Well, okay, there's more than one Alfred in the world.  "Alfred Jones, do you hear me??" Now wait a minute, no one knows I'm here!  "Alfred Mason...

    The name & the flag

English can sometimes be so much of a challenge.  "Our" meaning your families homeland or yours and mine??  And, you're right, that's exactly where I stole it from, as I said, changed it enough so that it would be recognizable on the one hand and not direct theft of the national symbol on the...

    84 Itasca / Propane problem

Hey Lou,  Yes, I'm Al Jones but go by The Dragon on most of the forums I write on;  for some reason people can remember "the Dragon" but cannot remember "Al", possibly because there are so few Dragons around, but a whole passle of "Al's". Rather than do the interlinear again (that looked bad...

    The name & the flag

My mothers people are primarily English / Dutch and have been part of Jefferson County since the 1700's so on that note I'm from NY;  my fathers family, on the other hand are Welsh and have been here only a few generations (relative newcomers compared to the van Ambers) the dragon as presented...

    84 Itasca / Propane problem

My apologies Tom, I really didn't realize that I had posted that only yesterday morning - for some reason it seems much longer. Lou offered some thoughts and I'll work on a couple of them;  after clearing the lines again I have enough gas to heat water and make breakfast so I can wait for a...
