The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
So true. I'm thinking maybe its because full sized everything would just make for bigger, heavier trailers? I'm average sized - but I do have pretty big/tall family members who RV and wonder how they survive too.
AHH! Yes, in my rush to have it ready for the trip, I made do w/ the washers I had on hand - but I will replace with ones I know are reliable for the long haul. Yes, I know, risky 'making do' with what is on hand but luckily no problems for the trip. Here's what I got for now...I'll replace with...
Great post and great question. I was completely dumbfounded some years ago when I was in the market for my first TT. I don't agree with the many who responded with saying the answer would be hopelessly subjective. How are cars rated? Vacuums? Homebuilders? Insurance companies? For most consumer...
Thanks so much for all of your helpful responses. I had to do a bit of grinding w/ my dremel but got 'er done (the drizzle/rain was a nice relief from the heat!). I do see how an electric jack would be nice but my trailer's not that massive so I stuck w/ a basic manual one for now. The new one...
So my manuel Atwood 2000lb "sidewind" tongue jack is grinding and looks like is no longer reliable. It jammed up when retracted and the gears are slipping and grinding and I had to use some force to unjam. It was simply bolted on so I unbolted it and, In my naiveté, I assumed that Camping World...
I've used the Eevelle Goldline cover, with 5 year warranty, with decent success. I bought the first one in early 2015 for just over $400 which lasted about 2 years. Then they replaced it on a prorated rate for about $170. That second one was done with the roof just tearing off altogether this...
Yes. Mine does. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKGZE8xPqDw
This guy has the same Genny and setup I do - his video is where I got the info needed for it. Costco runs that Firman unit on sale periodically - good deal.
Very convenient. No extra fuel source except your onboard LP needs to be...
Much appreciated! I previously was on the Northwoods (maker of the Nash trailer I have) forum - but they made it into a paid/membership site. I already spend too much of my working class money on this little passion/hobby of mine. So here I am. Glad to be here and wished I joined much earlier!
That's an optional on-board generator compartment - the grid is to allow for exhaust if needed (the solid panel comes out as needed). The trailer came wired and LP plumbed and ready to mount a generator - nice option but the Onan generators that it seems to be designed for are nice but way...
Hello Y'all from Wheat Ridge Colorado! My wife and I own our first travel trailer, which is 2014 Northwoods Nash 23B Travel Trailer, for a few years now. Although I'm relatively new to towing a trailer, I & my Chicano/indigenous family and ancestors come from the Colorado Rockies and Aztlan. My...
