    Pickup Auxillary Fuel Tanks

Rogertre, I was in a very similar situation to you this March.  Transferflow makes tanks for gas and diesel, and yes...they are very expensive.  I was going to purchase one, but they could not get it to me in time for my trip (Seattle to Orlando).  So I ended up getting 2 5 gallon cans. You're...

    Replace Suburban Engine?

From a cost stand point, the best bet would be to sell your current suburban.  Then take that money plus the 4 or 5 thousand you would have spent fixing the 1500 up and buy a used 2500 or excursion.  Legally, you can't upgrade the weight rating of your vehicle.  And honestly, it would be sooo...

    USB Antenna for WiFi

It seems kind of expensive for what you get. You could probably do the same job with one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Alfa-AWUS036H-802-11b-Wireless-network/dp/B002WCEWU8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307206624&sr=8-1and a little creativity.

What years of diesel pickups got the best fuel mileage?

Guess I'll chime in with my mileage experiences: 2003 7.3 diesel Excursion 2wd      Empty: ~17 mpg      10000# Travel trailer: ~9 mpg 2008 6.4 diesel F250 crew cab short bed 4x4     Empty: ~14 mpg      10000# Travel trailer: ~11 mpg 2002 7.3 diesel F350 crew cab long bed 4x4    ...

    Diesel Excursion Towing

From a practical standpoint, the diesel Excursion will tow any trailer you put behind it.  I'd get any trailer rated up to the Excursion's max. In my experience, it's not the weight as much as the length of the trailer that will give you problems.  The Excursion has a short wheelbase and if...

Recommendations for Additional TV Fuel Capacity

I almost bought a big Transfer Flow tank a couple of months ago, but they couldn't get one to me in time for my big trip.  I ended up getting two of these:  http://www.amazon.com/Blitz-Gallon-Diesel-Approved-31754/dp/B0007M8ZSU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1306537451&sr=8-2 and saved myself about...

Pushing camper up hill in reverse

25 degrees sounds like BIG incline.  Do you normally have to floor it to get up your driveway? Common sense is probably what you'll need to exercise here.  If you think it's enough to possibly hurt your vehicle, I'd refrain.

    For you bigger trucks towing

I recently drove from WA to FL with my 02 f350 7.3.  The long bed has 38 gallons I believe.  It easily did 300 miles to 1/4 full most of the time (pulling my 9000 lb travel trailer).

    Everglades or Key West

They are VERY different places.  The everglades is a beautiful park.  If you want nature, go here. Key west is a beautiful place also, but more party/tourist oriented. I'd recommend the everglades because you only have 3 days in south Florida.  Flamingo is quicker to get to.  You could drive...
