    Slide out emergency

When our slide was stuck “out”, my manual said it could be cranked in manually. When I put a socket and wrench on the manual post, it wouldn’t budge, for love nor money. We eventually found a disconnected wire and repaired it. This was on a 2013 Dutchmen RBGS27

    Electrical/Power Questions (Newbie- Please Help!)

If your trailer has an outdoor outlet, your GFCI may be there… Also our Magnatek 6300 stopped humming and heating up when the cooling fan miraculously started working after being unused for 10 years. I also sprayed WD40 on the fan shafts on both ends. It’s still working …….

Magnatek 6300 not charging battery on 2000 KZ Sportsman 37

I just charged the battery manually so I will hook it back up to the trailer now and check it tomorrow. I just load tested the battery last week and it was good. The battery is only a month old. The battery by itself reads just over 13 volts after being fully charged manually.

Magnatek 6300 not charging battery on 2000 KZ Sportsman 37

I put a multi tester on the two battery wires (battery disconnected) and it reads 0, yet when I put the battery leads back on it, it powers up the trailer. I’ve been charging the battery on its own after disconnecting the trailer leads. Any ideas ? Thanks…..😎

To balance or not to balance ??

I was more worried about the vibration from unbalanced tires vibrating loose nuts, bolts, screws, and wiring connections. Last year on this trailer I took in the factory Microwave because it quit working. The repair guy phoned me to tell me a wire came off it’s connector…..

To balance or not to balance ??

I just purchased a set of Carlisle ST tires for my 26’ Dutchmen. I have a neighbour who swears by balancing the tires. I asked for the tires to be balanced, and they didn’t do it, citing the fact that trailer tires don’t require balancing. I‘ve been pulling travel trailers off and on for 30...

    Overheating Power Converter

We have a Magnatek Power Converter in a 2000 37’ KZ Sportsman TT. Series 6300, Model 6345. When all the breakers are turned on it runs extremely warm, almost hot. When we shut off one of the breakers that powers the outlets in half the trailer, it seems to run normally. The breaker that we shut...
