    Ford edge

A 12 volt line is added direct from the Barrera for the brake system.  I also have a charge line from the MH to the toad to keep it charged.

    Ford edge

Thanks for the reply Gary.  The question was about the toad wiring.  This is the first time I used diodes and was having issues.  A camper down the road had a Ford Edge and he said he had issues until the disconnect was put on the positive post. After reading your response I said DUH!  If...

    Ford edge

The edge manual states that the negative battery terminal needs to be disconnected.  The Rv dealer put in a disconnect and a set of diod lights.  The lights quit working.  I am now told by a fellow edge owner that diode lights will not work unless the positive terminal is disconnected. Why is...

    OTA ANTENNA

I just swapped my Winegard Rayzor 8500 for the Jack 8300.  I went from 12 channels to 27 sitting in the same location.  I could never get the Rayzor to work after a few times.  It would not rotate.  I went through 4 of these, but only purchased 1. Former owner had the batwing post and crank...

    Clear coat

Along the roofline on my Tour,it appears the clearcoat is pealing off.  This is above the rain track where it rolls up to the flat roof.  Is this common?  Can I do a light sanding and spray a new coating on?

    Roof AC cleaning

Is there any cleaning that should be done on my air conditioners.  I plan to take the covers off and clean them off but wonder if there is more I should do. I read an article that stated the Mach air can not be recharged.  Is this correct?

    Water pump check valve

The problem only occurs intermittently after I use the pump.  To stop it, I cycle the pump on and off.  Thanks NY_Dutch, I will look for that part.  I will put in the valve for now.

    Water pump check valve

My water pump is letting water flow through and is filling up and overflowing the fresh water tank while on city water.  I plan to it a check valve in line to stop this.  My understanding is the checkvalve in the pump sticks open allowing this to happen.  Instead of $200+ for a new pump this is...

    Dish receivers

On my MH I have a winngard 1000 Traveler with one receiver and a hard drive for recording.  I would like to be able to record more than one or watch live while recording.  Is there a receiver for an Rv that will do this?  I know I can add a 2nd receiver and hard drive but if I can get more than...

50 amp service - keep tripping pedestal circuit breaker

Yes John mine has that.  I had him replace it with the same model that was bad.  The Surge guard needs to be checked often and the connections tightened or you can get arching. Like wearing a belt and suspenders I added a surge protector on the plug end so I now have both.

50 amp service - keep tripping pedestal circuit breaker

Yes John things have been working just fine.  Thanks for the help.  I had a mobile tech replace the transfer switch. (Getting to old to squeeze into it). He was trying to tell me that I only would get a total of 50 amps.  I tried to inform him but he did not want to listen.

50 amp service - keep tripping pedestal circuit breaker

On generator, everything is fine.  I ran up to 70 amps with no problems.  I put in a surge protector to give me anew plug into the coach and into the shore power.  I have now run up to 65 amps with no issue.  My thinking is a worn plug. Mile high, the transfer switch was ad.  Arching

50 amp service - keep tripping pedestal circuit breaker

The shore power breaker trips after a period of time.  It looks like it can not handle 3 AC's.  L1 looks to be  getting pushed over 50 amps, but I now wonder if it is the cord or plug.
