Do You Really Need a DC to DC Charger for Lithium Batteries in Your RV?

Is a DC to DC charger really needed? I don't care about charging the trailer while towing but I've heard that without it you could do damage to the alternator in your truck.... Anyone have experience with them? Brands to use, ease of install??? I'll be using lithium in the trailer.

Do Diesel RVs Really Need Fuel Additives for Maintenance and Longevity?

We have a 2015 Tiffin Allegro Open Road Red (diesel pusher) and have had many great trips across the country and up into Alaska. Recently a fellow RVer suggested that we use a fuel additive to keep the fuel system clean and functioning optimally. Thoughts on the use of fuel additives for RV...

Are $379 Sneakers Really Worth It for RVers?

Recently my ad blocker stopped working so I have been seeing ads while surfing. I saw some ads for good looking tennis shoes and clicked on one and was shocked to see it was $379. The cheaper priced sneakers were only $170. I really doubt many RVers are buying $400 sneakers.

Hybrid car death rates are three times higher.

Another reason for me to not like hybrid cars, besides being several times more likely to catch fire than ICE vehicles & more complex for very little benefit. I would rather own a pure ICE than a hybrid. -Don- Douglas, AZ

    Solar ready?

Seems there is a small electric receptacle on the drivers side. Selling dealer says rig is solar ready. Just what does that mean? Where do the wires go to? I’m not solar friendly yet. I know, solar panels need to talk to an inverter of some sort or a converter. Anybody have any ideas?

Flat Towing-Do you need to backup often?

We’re currently researching RVs and flat towing in preparation for a purchase about a year from now. Can a 30A to 50A Step-Up Transformer Really Boost RV Power at Campgrounds?

Anyone using a 30A to 50A Step Up Transformer at campgrounds that only have 30amp service? Do they work and how well do they work? Other than perhaps increasing voltage, don't see a significant amperage increase using a transformer. I always thought transformers increase voltage but no...
