02 j-flight manual slide doesn't work

I have an 02 jayco j-flight that has only a manual hand crank for the slide out. The other day the I couldn't retract the room the hand crank gear that engages the gear that makes the room go in and out stop engaging and just free spins

Welcome to the forum.
CAn you see the gear? If you can are the teeth broken off or is it that it?s not making contact with the other gear. You?re going to have to get in there and see what?s going on. It may also just be a sheared pin that pins the gear to the shaft

I can see all gears . No teeth are broken off. It starts to make contact and spin , then just free spins and other times doesn't spin like a broken shear pin . I've never uncountered a manual slide only . If it was electrical I would think it's a shear pin. I also have no idea how the manufacturer of it is ,whichay make ordering parts complacated.
