As we entered the  Moab Brewery parking lot, we tried to recruit a new member.  He was a youngster in his early twenties with a bright red Mohawk haircut.  He was flattered at the invitation,  smiled and gave us the thumbs up but declined to join us for lunch.  His friends in the car howled with laughter. The tone for the day was set.

The meeting was called to order at 11:30 by Queenie, Betty Brewer.  (She does not want to be a queen mum)  The first item of business was for the 15 of us to ask John, our server, for separate checks.  He had never heard  of a Red Hat group and was delighted for us to be his first.  Ardra then brought up under new business that we must change our name from that other place to the RV  Forum Floozies.  100% agreed.  As tradition dictated, Helaine then read the poem Warning...by Jenny Joseph .  We were reminded that we must learn to spit.  Yes it is good to be older now.  The next item of business was for us to share 20 things to do to keep our insanity.  The favorites included;  1.  At lunch time sit in your parked  car with your sunglasses on and point a hair dryer  at passing cars to see if they slow down.  2.  Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want French fries with that order.  3.  When the money comes out at an ATM scream "I won, I won!" To  view the other 17 insane things to do, come to our next meeting.
Betty then shared a poem about  serious subject,  getting Mammie grams.  May is breast cancer awareness month.  You had to be there to get the gist of the message and follow up.

The meal was delicious and then a surprise gift was  bestowed upon each one of us.  Seems Tarry Johnson stayed up all night knitting hot pads/ coasters in red and purple for each one of us.  They were decorated with little red and purple balls courtesy of  Peg Miller's creative help and the loan of a glue gun. These women were thanked profusely.  Without question Pat Dick won  in the best dressed category.  Her short skirt , flowing boa and spiked red heels were the envy of each of us.  The meeting continued at Happy hour so we can get our money's worth out of our outfits. A million laughs and a million friends.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Queenie, Betty
