Finally decided to change out the front 32" LCD that did not have digital capabilities for a new 39" Visio LED.
First two picture of old TV.
Third picture of bracket to hold the TV; The original TV was about 4" thick with about 2" recessed into the cabinet. The new TV is 2' thick so I just grounded off the welds on the part of the bracket that the TV mounts to and re-welded it to the front side of the outer bracket making up the 2" and thus making the new TV fit tight.
Fourth picture is new TV mounted. There is a gap on the top that is filled in the fifth picture. Took about three hours to do the job!
Went from about 40 lbs to 18 lbs, plus better efficiency on power!
Starting on the rear CRT now!
