I'm trying to replace my old Interior Lights with Thin-Lite LEDs. They won't light up. Hook the old incandescent fixture back up I have light. Any ideas? I tried with two units in new packages, doubt that both would be defective

Depending on the LED fixture they are pole sensitive and can be hooked up backwards.

I try to read the specs when I buy them to ensure they are omni-directional.

It would help if we knew which model of light you have. Thin-Lite does have installation instructions on their website. A polarity issue could be the problem.
  1. Attach black wire (for LED use the red wire) from fixture to + (positive) power input lead with wire nut or similar connector (not supplied).
  2. Attach white wire (for LED use the black wire) from fixture to – (negative) power input lead.

ive tried reversing wires. Not illuminating

Leds are sensitive to both voltage and polarity and won't light if either is out of spec. Conversely, incandescents ignore polarity & handle a wide range of voltage. I'd start by verifying both of those with a VOM.
