1997 Fleetwood Mallard 12V lights dead after converter upgrade

Hello,

We just got our trailer and fully remodeled it.

The trailer did not come with a battery!

I was able to plug into our house (shore power) and everything worked grand.

After debating for weeks to go lithium battery or lead acid I went with a lithium battery 200ah

With the lithium setup, I replaced the stock 1997 converter to a lithium complaint one. Wavlink GS800RVP-55.

I now do not have power to my 12v lights. I replaced all blade fuses, checked connections, and am back in forth with Wavlink! Even when I’m plugged into shore power. Generator..

With shore power I get everything besides the lights….

Does anyone have suggestions as my timeline is counting down for a trip end of July.

Greatly appreciate you all and all input. Please help

Are you saying that you get everything except the lights? Or do you get lights with shore power but not without shore power?

I now do not have power to my 12v lights.

Since you had lights before the change and do not have them now, that must be due to something that you did or didn't do. Have you checked with a meter to see if your battery is being charged? If the lights do work from shore power, then you probably are not charging the battery.

Well, after 29years I guess my fuse board had enough!

Replaced with a new board. Amazon special $16.00 and I’m lit up! All is good! Happy travels y’all

Not sure what you got for $16. Here is a Parallax fuse panel that would replace your existing one. There are a number of different variations that have come out over the years for the Magnetek/Parallax power center fuse panels.

You may have something miswired, I cannot tell where some of the wires go to on the fuse panel. Blue wire appears to be connected to the black wire with red stripe that is then screwed to the top of the fuse panel. The Blue wire is the chassis ground (European and Asian countries use blue for earth ground) and it should be on the ground bar on the top left of the pic with the bare copper wires. I forgot what is on the back side of the old fuse panels, but the thick black and red wires connect to the large terminals. You really need to newer design Parallax panel to get the reverse current fuses, as the old panel does not have that feature, and the new converter you bought apparently does not either.

If you have not already done so check the voltage at the battery terminals on that fuse block.
|use a TEST LIGHT not a volt meter
Bright is good.. Dark is not.

Clip goes to a known good ground spot (negative) tip to the battery lead
FIrst test do at the battery itself (make sure light works and battery good)/.
I often have to re-seat the lamp in the handle.

A fairly common problem with blade fuses is a poor connection where the fuse plugs in.

The RV I am in right now had flickering lights when it was new. I wasn't too concerned with that, but perhaps that is why nobody else bought it.

The first day I owned it, I bent in the fuse socket thingies where the blades fit for the lights fuse for a tighter fuse fit. (all LED in this 2022 Class A). Never a flicker again.

You had no connection at all, but I assume you could have done the same in a few seconds, but you're not out much with only $16.00 to replace the fuse socket assembly.
